Research On Poverty Alleviation With Chinese Characteristics Since The Reform And Opening Up

For a long time,poverty has always been a historical problem troubling the world,but also a major factor affecting a country’s economic development and social harmony.Marx proposed that the level of economic development of a country is closely related to the derivation of poverty.A general survey of the international distribution of poverty-stricken areas and people shows that most of the countries with serious poverty problems and large Numbers of poverty-stricken people are underdeveloped developing countries.Therefore,as a developing socialist country,China has a large number of poor people and serious poverty.Since the reform and opening up in 1978,China’s economy has developed rapidly,and it has made great achievements in politics,culture,science and technology,and its international status and influence have been significantly enhanced.At the same time,the party and government have continuously raised the strategic height of poverty control and increased input in poverty alleviation.From 1978 to 2018,the economic level of the permanent residents in China’s rural areas has been greatly improved,with the per capita disposable income increasing from 133.6 yuan to 14,617 yuan in 2018.The number of people living in poverty dropped significantly,from 770.39 million to 16.6 million,and the incidence of poverty dropped from 97.5 percent to 1.70 percent.The achievements in poverty reduction with Chinese characteristics have changed the lives of more than 700 million Chinese people,showcased the beautiful vision of "common prosperity" of socialist countries,and made greater contributions to the international poverty reduction campaign.However,in recent years,the practice of poverty alleviation with Chinese characteristics has encountered a "bottleneck".The speed of poverty reduction in various regions has slowed down and the phenomenon of poverty alleviation has become increasingly prominent.The year 2018 marks the 40 th anniversary of reform and opening up and is also the first year for implementing the spirit of the 19 th CPC National Congress.To complete the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects by 2020 and eradicate absolute poverty is a solemn commitment of our party.Based on this,it is of great practical significance to study the practice of poverty alleviation with Chinese characteristics.Along the article "literature review,the theory and the concept of Chinese characteristics,process analysis,experience summary and analysis for poverty alleviation,poverty alleviation funds with Chinese characteristics research on the influence degree of the effect of poverty alleviation-real challenges and countermeasures analysis" research train of thought,in the time background of reform and opening up in 1978,40 years anti-poverty practice with Chinese characteristics is discussed.Article mainly by Marx and Engels anti-poverty theory,the anti-poverty theory with Chinese characteristics,amartya sen’s theory of poverty and the development of the anti-poverty theory as the theoretical basis of economics,review of China’s poverty reduction process,summed up China’s poverty alleviation achievements and experience,and through the grey correlation analysis of poverty alleviation funds with Chinese characteristics to the influence degree of the effect of poverty alleviation.Finally,we find that,based on 40 years of poverty alleviation practices,the number of people living in poverty in China’s rural areas has been significantly reduced,incomes have risen significantly,and rural infrastructure,basic public services,medical care,education and social security have been significantly improved.The experience of achieving the above achievements mainly includes: adhering to the strong leadership of the communist party of China,focusing on economic development,formulating a targeted poverty alleviation strategy system,establishing a sound social security system,and paying attention to the role of social forces in poverty alleviation.At the same time,through the analysis,we also found that China’s current poverty alleviation work still faces many challenges: the depth of poverty in the poverty-stricken areas and poor living environment;The causes of poverty are complex and difficult to accurately identify.The problem of poverty caused by illness or returning to poverty is prominent;Poor peasant households are lack of motivation and ability to shake off poverty.In view of the current challenges in the work of poverty alleviation,scientific policy Suggestions are put forward.Gather superior resources for targeted poverty alleviation;Encouraging social forces to contribute to poverty alleviation;Cultivating the endogenous development power of poor peasant households;Developing advantageous and characteristic industries and strengthening the management of poverty alleviation funds.It is hoped that the above countermeasures and Suggestions will contribute to the fight against poverty and fulfill the solemn commitment of our party.At the same time,it is also conducive to contributing Chinese wisdom and solutions to the cause of fighting poverty in the world and strengthening the "four self-confidence" of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
