Study On The Migrant Workers’ Work Injury Insurance Issue In Dongguan City

With the advancement of China’s urban-rural integration process,more and more migrant workers are working in cities.Most of them are engaged in infrastructure construction,manufacturing,service industries and other grassroots industries.They are inevitably facing the risk of work accidents at work.In the past 30 years,China’s work injury insurance system has made considerable progress.It has initially established an institutional system and operational mechanism that combines injury prevention,injury rehabilitation and injury compensation.It helps to safeguard the rights of migrant workers and resolve the occupations risks of employers.It had played an irreplaceable positive role in progressing social harmony and social promotion.However,among the more than 280 million migrant workers in the all country,most of the them are still not included in the network of work injury insurance systems.The contradiction between low participation rate and high incidence of work injury is very prominent.Migrant workers suffer from injuries and they cannot successfully get help.The compensation after injury is usually very small.Protection of the migrant workers’ work injury insurance rights is a serious social topic.Orderly promoting the urbanization of the agricultural transfer population is the core of the new urbanization construction,and is of great significance for building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.Studying the rights protection of migrant workers’ work injury insurance can not only find out the problems presently,but also improve the social insurance system that is related to the vital interests of migrant workers.We will reduce the migrant workers issue,promote long-term social stability,ensure sustained economic development,and enhance the sense of well-being in society.Based on the background of industrial structure adjustment and urban-rural integration development in Dongguan,this paper organizes the development process of Dongguan work injury insurance system in the past 30 years,and comprehensively applies management and sociology knowledge to analyze the current situation of Dongguan migrant workers’ work injury insurance.Through literature research,case analysis,and statistics knowledge to analyze the existing problems,such as the problem of expanding the participation rate,the lack of rights protection of migrant workers,and the failure of the floating interest rate system etc.Put forward the development countermeasures for the rights protection of migrant workers’ work injury insurance.Such as use the "Internet+" and big data era,submit an idea of provincial-level coordination of migrant workers’ injury insurance,import supplemental work injury insurance system and propose measures for exploring flexible employment workers.It has certain reference value for improving and developing the current situation of migrant workers’ work injury insurance in China.The main body of the paper contains:First,the introduction.Second,it defines the concepts of migrant workers,work injury insurance and work injury insurance rights,and the related expounding research.The third part introduces the status quo of the rights protection of migrant workers’ work injury insurance in Dongguan;the fourth part introduces the practice of protecting work injury insurance rights for migrant workers in Dongguan;the fifth part sorts out the problems and causes in current;The sixth part puts forward the countermeasures for the problems.
