Research On The Impact Of Digital Transformation On Business Model And Enterprise Performance

At present,China has entered a new stage of economic development.The further upgrading of economic structure has changed the industrial structure and promoted the further upgrading of industry.At the same time,under the pressure of emerging industries and foreign enterprises,China’s traditional industries urgently need a new way conducive to their growth and development,and digital transformation has just become the focus of many enterprises.The implementation of digitalization will not only have an impact on the enterprise’s structure,but also on many areas,such as logistics,marketing modes and so on and then affects the performance of enterprises.At present,the research on enterprise business model and enterprise performance based on digital transformation is relatively rare,and most of the literature fails to conduct deeper research in combination with the enterprises that have completed digital transformation.Therefore,this thesis will conduct research and analysis based on the digital transformation of Midea Group,revealing that digital transformation promotes the innovation of enterprise business model through the dynamic ability of digital economy and reflecting in the innovation of the three elements of the business model.This thesis will use some methods including the literature research and case analysis to introduce the concepts of digital transformation and business model innovation,and then take Midea Group’s implementation of digital transformation as a case to study its reasons,process and results.The reasons for this change are analyzed from lots of aspects,and the transformation process and final results are analyzed by stages.On this basis,it further discusses the impact of digital transformation on business model and enterprise performance.Based on the theories of business model and dynamic capability,this thesis creates the theoretical framework of "digital transformation-digital economic capability-business model innovation-enterprise performance improvement",which reveals the path of digital transformation affecting enterprise business model.Through the vertical and horizontal analysis of Midea Group’s financial situation and comparison with the same industry,the effect of Midea Group’s digital transformation driven business model innovation is very significant,which has a reference value.In addition,based on the analysis of the digital transformation process and business model innovation process of Midea Group,the last chapter puts forward suggestions on the digital transformation of traditional manufacturing industry as a reference.
