| New digital technologies are being developed overwhelmingly as the servitization of manufacturing enterprises is still in its initial stage.The digital revolution along with the modern service industry plays a significant role for Chinese manufacturing enterprises getting rid of the predicament of being at the bottom of the global value chain for a long time.The trend of integration of product,service and information is becoming more and more obvious.The Chinese government has successively issued "Made in China 2025","Special Action Guide for the Development of Service-oriented Manufacturing" and "The 14th Five-year Plan for the Deep Integration of Informatization and industrialization",which clearly indicate that the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry should take service-oriented manufacturing as the strategic choice,take digital and intelligent manufacturing as the main direction and cultivate a new ecology of cross-border integration.The Product Service System which provides "Product+Service" and even integrated solutions,and can give overall consideration to economic,environmental and social benefits,is the transformation practice of manufacturing enterprises under the background of servitization.The behavior of interaction and cooperation between manufacturing enterprises and multiple agents in the service ecosystem may contribute to heterogeneous information and resources,but there is still an unknown phenomenon in the practical process from the behavior to the result,for example,how to use external resources to improve internal capabilities and influence service results,and whether it will be affected by situational factors in such process.Therefore,based on the value co-creation theory and enterprise capability theory,this paper firstly constructs the theoretical framework with value co-creation behavior to innovation capability and PSS innovation performance,secondly discusses the role of product innovation capability and service innovation capability in the process of value co-creation and PSS performance innovation,and finally introduces the adjustment mechanism of digitalization maturity to explore the internal differences of PSS innovation mechanism in manufacturing enterprises at different digitalization levels.This study draws three conclusions according to the validation of 298 questionnaire data.First,value co-creation is a positive manufacturing enterprise’s PSS innovation performance.Second,product innovation capability and service innovation capability play an intermediary role between value co-creation and PSS innovation performance,and the external heterogeneous resources caused by value co-creation behavior are turned into servitization results through resource accumulation and direction guidance.Third,the digitization level of manufacturing enterprises positively adjusts the intermediary role of product innovation capability and service innovation capability in value co-creation and PSS innovation performance,that is,the higher the digitalization maturity is,the stronger the effect of value co-creation on PSS innovation performance of product innovation capability and service innovation capability is.This study takes the PSS innovation process mechanism of manufacturing enterprises as the main aspect,integrate PSS innovation activities with the service ecosystem,discusses the influence of multi-agent value co-creation behavior on innovation results,and constructs a research model within value co-creation behavior and innovation capability and PSS innovation performance according to the theory of "behavior-capability-performance".The research confirms the positive impact of value co-creation on PSS innovation performance,advocating that enterprises should improve their innovative thoughts and seek for external cooperation beyond traditional boundaries.On the one hand,manufacturing enterprises should pay attention to the accumulation and improvement of their own capabilities.On the other hand,they should keep up with the pace of the digital economy era,seize the opportunity of the integration of digitization and servitization,build their own comprehensive digital system,and promote their servitization transformation by digitalization reform. |
