With the progress of economic globalization in recent years,each country has achieved some success in reducing tariffs and trade barriers,but the effects of non-tariff trade inefficiencies are becoming more and more pronounced."In other words,the promotion of" trade facilitation "has become a hot topic.ASEAN is one of Japan’s important trading partners,and in October 2003,it signed the "Comprehensive Economic Partnership Framework" agreement,and the process of the Japan-ASEAN Free Trade Area was officially started.Since then,Japan and ASEAN have been actively seeking ways to increase each country’s level of trade facilitation in order to establish a more efficient international trade environment.The proportion of Mechanical and Electronic products in international trade is increasing.As a major exporter of Mechanical and Electronic products,Japan is also the second largest exporter of Mechanical and Electronic products to ASEAN.Taking trade facilitation as a gateway to study the impact of Japan’s Mechanical and Electronic products exports to ASEAN countries will help my country,then learn and export my country’s Mechanical and Electronic products to ASEAN.To rationally adjust.There is some practical importance to the export trade of products.This paper employs a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis to study the impact of ASEAN trade facilitation on Japan’s Mechanical and Electronic exports.Firstly,the definition of Mechanical and Electronic products standards and the connotation and related theories of trade facilitation are sorted out,and the development process of Japan’s export of Mechanical and Electronic products to ASEAN is divided into three stages.Scale,structure and major markets of exports to ASEAN.Then,it expounds the trade facilitation development measures of ASEAN in recent years.Based on this,this treatise establishes a comprehensive assessment system for trade facilitation indicators,uses principal component analysis to calculate the trade facilitation score of ASEAN countries,and we will further analyze the impact of ASEAN trade facilitation on Japan.The mechanism and path of the export of Mechanical and Electronic products.Finally,based on the panel data from 2010 to2019,this paper constructs an extended trade gravity model,and analyzes the impact of the trade facilitation level of ASEAN countries on Japan’s Mechanical and Electronic exports through regression of the overall and sub-indicators.This paper draws the following conclusions: First,there are significant differences in trade facilitation among ASEAN countries,and most ASEAN countries are still in a state of“inconvenience” in trade;Second,through empirical analysis,it is concluded that the level of ASEAN trade facilitation has more prominent impact on Japan’s exports of Mechanical and Electronic products than other influencing factors such as ASEAN’s GDP and ASEAN’s foreign trade dependence.For every 1% increase in ASEAN trade facilitation level,Japan’s exports of Mechanical and Electronic products to ASEAN increased by 2.299%.Among the four first-level indexes of trade facilitation,port efficiency has the greatest impact on Japan’s export of Mechanical and Electronic products to ASEAN;The third is to combine the current trade facilitation level of ASEAN countries and the current situation and characteristics of my country’s exports of Mechanical and Electronic products to ASEAN in the past ten years.The country carries out corresponding trade facilitation cooperation measures,gives full play to the agreements of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area,and actively joins other regional economic cooperation platforms.Promoting exports of my country’s Mechanical and Electronic products to ASEAN by improving the level of ASEAN trade facilitation,so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win in economic and trade cooperation between the two sides.
