Research On Xinjiang Industrial Transformation And Upgrading Based On The Construction Of The Core Area Of The Silk Road Economic Belt

The level of industrial productivity is an important decisive factor to promote the economic development of a country or region.Industrialization can improve people’s living standards,promote capital accumulation,and then enhance the comprehensive competitive strength of the region.As the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt,Xinjiang’s industry has developed in an extensive mode of high input,high consumption,high emission and high pollution for a long time,resulting in prominent industrial structural contradictions,low economic quality and efficiency and weak industrial core competitiveness.Therefore,the development of characteristic and advantageous industries in the core area and the promotion of Xinjiang’s integration into the new development pattern of double circulation will help to meet the country’s practical needs for the construction of the core area and maintain the long-term stability of Xinjiang.It is imperative for Xinjiang’s industrial transformation and upgrading.Firstly,based on the concept connotation,this study analyzes the mechanism of industrial transformation and upgrading in Xinjiang Based on the construction of the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt;Secondly,it makes a basic analysis of Xinjiang’s industrial transformation and upgrading through the resource and environmental conditions of Xinjiang’s industrial transformation and upgrading and the economic and industrial development of the core area;Thirdly,the evaluation index system is constructed from the three aspects of industrial structure transformation and upgrading,industrial power transformation and upgrading and industrial product transformation and upgrading,and the entropy method is used to measure and analyze the overall industrial transformation and upgrading level and its sub industries in Xinjiang;Then,a dynamic GMM model is constructed to further analyze the influencing factors,and on this basis,the conception and guarantee measures of industrial transformation and upgrading in Xinjiang are put forward.Through the analysis,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)from 2010 to 2019,the overall level of industrial transformation and upgrading in Xinjiang showed a fluctuating upward trend,and the change trend of the level of industrial structure transformation and upgrading in Xinjiang showed a downward trend first,then an upward trend,and then a slow downward trend;The level of industrial power transformation and upgrading in Xinjiang generally shows a trend of first rising and then falling;The overall level of transformation and upgrading of industrial products in Xinjiang shows an upward trend.Among them,the level of industrial structure transformation and upgrading in Xinjiang needs to be further strengthened,and the transformation and upgrading of industrial products has achieved certain results.(2)From the perspective of industrial segments,the transformation and upgrading level of capital intensive industries in Xinjiang has increased in recent years.Technology intensive industries need to strengthen their technical content and improve their core competitiveness.Labor intensive industries have developed well,and the industrial structure of Xinjiang is constantly optimized and adjusted.(3)The empirical results show that human capital,financial development,technological innovation,information level and foreign direct investment can promote industrial transformation and upgrading and industrial structure transformation and upgrading,while government intervention can inhibit it;Human capital,foreign direct investment and technological innovation can significantly promote the transformation and upgrading of industrial power,and government intervention can inhibit it;Government intervention and informatization level can significantly promote the transformation and upgrading of industrial products,while foreign direct investment will hinder the transformation and upgrading of industrial products.(4)To promote industrial transformation and upgrading in Xinjiang,we should expand the scale of industrial economy,focus on the high-end links of regional value chain,and accelerate the integration of informatization and industry;Establish an efficient industrial production system,improve the degree of open competition in Xinjiang,build a technological innovation system for industrial transformation and upgrading in Xinjiang,and strengthen the construction of industrial brands.
