China’s cross-border e-commerce,especially in recent years,maintains a continuously & highly growth speed,the reason is that one hand it benefits from the global economic integration and the Chinese Government strong support policies of encouraging enterprises “going out of China”,other hand,it benefits from the post-epidemic era since 2020,after when the Online shopping tends to be the first choice shopping method for all over the world due to home isolation & social distance philosophy,which stimulates a sharp development of e-commerce.Under the e-commerce development impact,and as an important part of the supply chain management of e-commerce,the development of cross-border e-commerce logistics is also highly upward.While,the cross-border logistics chain itself the long and complex transportation process is a conflict to the consumer’s requirement of fast &timely,safety & quality.The solution to the conflict or the balance between the complex process and the timely delivery is a test for the comprehensive operation ability of cross-border logistics enterprises themselves,and also is a great challenge for the e-commerce sellers on how to select the high-quality logistics service providers by assessment their comprehensive ability on logistics cost controlling,delivery timeliness,service quality,solutions given under abnormal situation,service stability,value-added services and so on at choosing logistics service providers and deepening the cooperation process.The V company,discussed in this thesis,is a globally large-scale one-stop cross-border e-commerce business operator,whose operation model is similar to Wish and Joom.V company currently sells a variety of categories with business marketing covering more than 200 countries,has an average daily order volume of nearly 100,000 units,and has hundreds of logistics service providers and thousands of logistics lines in their logistic providing system.Facing the complex challenges of the cross-border logistics chain and the uneven quality of service providers,Company V is facing great challenges in logistics supplier selection and management.From the first view of V company’s actual selection and management on cross-border logistic suppliers,and by combining supplier management theory,logistics service quality management,and hierarchical analysis tool theory,this dissertation intends to establish a comprehensive and scientific method for service provider selection indexes,unify the performance management mode and deepen the logistics service partnership management.Finally,the research results of this dissertation is expected to be useful for Company V and other similar e-commerce companies. |
