Cars are an important way of transportation in our daily travel.With the continuous development of automotive technology,on one hand,people’s requirements for the safety,comfort and convenience of automobiles are constantly increased.On the other hand,the complexity of the manufacturing process is also increasing.However,based on safety features and regulatory requirements,automobiles have higher quality standards and requirements than the consumer products and industrial products.Relevant regulations and product liability will extend product traceability requirements to the entire supply chain.In this context,how to ensure the effective traceability of automotive product quality is a major problem for automotive quality managers.To ensure the product quality,companies need to monitor the supply chain from raw material suppliers to end consumers.The scope of product traceability has also expanded from within the enterprise to all links in the production and use process from raw materials to final products.Auto Company A is one of the top 500 fortune companies in the global auto supply chain.With the development of its business,the types of auto parts produced,and the pace of production are significantly accelerated.Auto Company A is also faced with the same internal challenges.There are many serious product quality traceability management problems and challenges.Based on the author’s several years of working experience in the automotive supply chain,and this paper investigates and researches the status of product quality management of company A,identifies loopholes in the current quality traceability management of parts produced by company A,and summarizes the problems after comes with the entire product quality traceability management and optimization process,and the optimization plan together with the effectiveness confirmations.
