| With the advent of knowledge economy,enterprises face an increasingly fierce market environment,setting up a team to complete work tasks has gradually become one of the main work forms favored by enterprises.However,team composition’s diversity not only injects fresh blood for the team,but also increases challenges: on the one hand,different educational backgrounds and work experience can bring a lot of heterogeneous information within the team,promote the interaction process of information and improve team performance;on the other hand,due to the differences of team members in gender,age,educational level,work experience,tenure,personality,belief and other attribute characteristics,under the combined effect of the above same or similar attribute characteristics,the team is divided into two or more mutually heterogeneous but internally homogeneous sub teams,which is not conducive to the internal information flow of the team and has a negative impact on the team.According to the existing research literature,the team faultline recombines the diversified characteristics of team composition,which can better explain the impact of team structure on team output,but the relevant research conclusions are not unified.This study divides the team faultline into two dimensions: social classification faultline and information faultline,and introduces team behavior integration to study the impact mechanism of team composition differentiation on output.Based on the perspective of team faultline and on the basis of literature review and theoretical research,this study constructs a research model of the relationship between team faultline,team behavior integration,team performance and team communication.Collect 286 valid questionnaires,aggregate individual data and archive team data,totaling 58 and the data were analyzed and verified by SPSS26.0,Amos24.0 and other software.The empirical results show that:(1)social classification faultline has a significant negative impact on team performance;(2)information cognition faultline has a significant positive impact on team performance;(3)social classification faultline has a significant negative impact on team behavior integration;(4)information cognition faultline has a significant positive impact on team behavior integration;(5)team behavior integration has a significant positive impact on team performance;(6)team behavior integration plays an intermediary role in the relationship between social classification faultline,information cognition faultline and team behavior integration;(7)team communication plays a regulatory role in the relationship between social classification faultline,information cognition faultline and team behavior integration.Finally,combined with the relevant research conclusions,this study puts forward the relevant management enlightenment and puts forward relevant suggestions for the effective cooperation of the work team.The limitations of this study are summarized and the future research prospects are put forward. |
