| The advent of Internet era provides both great opportunities for the development of the Internet industry,but also some new challenges.Online shopping has been changing people’s life and shopping behavior.It plays an more important role in social life since more and more people tend to shop online.However,with the continuous development and application of e-commerce,the industrial competition is become more and more fierce.A great many of Internet companies have experienced a decline in share prices and a continuous wave of downsizing.Meituan is one of the largest e-commerce platforms for life service industry in China,so it seems necessary for us to analyze its profit model seriously and define a scientific,reasonable,market-oriented and feasible profit model in order to assist Meituan to seize market opportunities.This paper adopts questionnaires method to collect the first-hand data of the online shops and consumers.On the basis of the Five Elements Theory of profit model and the Core Competitiveness Theory,this paper firstly analyzes Meituan’s profit situation from the aspects of profitability,profit quality,profit growth and cash security in combination with the financial statement data in recent years.Secondly,this paper studies Meituan’s profit model from the aspects of Five Elements,which are profit point,profit source,profit object,profit lever and profit barrier respectively.Through the study of the five elements of meituan’s profit model,combined with the external development environment and internal development conditions of meituan.it is found that meituan currently faces problems and causes.Final,this paper designs a customized scheme for the optimization of Meituan’s profit model.Suggestions from five aspects are proposed,such as to find the profit point in the operation,optimize the structure of profit sources,expand profit objects,expand financing channels,adopt differentiated positioning,strengthen the R&D technology and focus on talent.The optimization scheme is suggested to be implemented from four dimensions to establish Meituan’s core competitiveness.This research hopes to provide reference for other enterprises to optimize their profit model.There are 29 figures,14 tables and 94 references... |
