Intellectual Property Protection And High-quality Economic Development

In the context of the continuous promotion of high-quality economic development,the focus of China’s economic and social development will change from "quantity" to "quality".As China’s economy and society changes from "factor-driven" to "innovation-driven",the improvement of intellectual property protection level has become a booster to promote the high-quality development of China’s economy.This paper mainly starts with the related concepts and basic theory of intellectual property protection and high-quality economic development,combined with the research results of domestic experts and scholars in these two fields,select the panel data of 30 provinces and cities from 2011-2020,adopt the entropy method and improved GP index index,construct a panel regression model to empirically analyze the influence of intellectual property protection on high-quality economic development and internal subsystem and explore the regional differences.The main research results are as follows: 1.At present,the comprehensive index of intellectual property protection intensity and high-quality economic development in all provinces and cities in China are on the upward trend,and the eastern,central and western regions show a changing trend of "high in east and low in west".The level of intellectual property protection in eastern China has obviously exceeded the national level of intellectual property protection,while that in the central and western regions is lower than the level of national intellectual property protection.2.Improving the intensity of intellectual property protection in China has a positive effect on promoting the high-quality development level of China’s economy.With the continuous improvement of the high-quality economic development level of China’s economy,the driving role of intellectual property protection shows the characteristics of the inverted V-shaped change of the first rising and then weakening.3.Improving the intensity of intellectual property rights protection has brought an important positive role in technological innovation,social harmony and green development,and has played a far greater role in promoting technological innovation than in other aspects.4.The level of intellectual property protection in the central region and the western regions has significantly promoted the high-quality economic development.Compared with the central region,improving the intensity of intellectual property protection in the western region plays a greater role in promoting the level of high-quality economic development.According to the above conclusions,this paper puts forward the following three suggestions: 1.Strengthen the protection of green technology intellectual property rights to achieve high-quality economic development.2.Improve the efficiency of technological innovation and achieve high-quality economic development.3.Emphasize the diversity of patent protection measures and implement differentiated intellectual property protection measures.
