| Under the background of vigorously promoting innovation-driven development strategy,China’s incubators continue to expand,and the number of national science and technology business incubators reached 5843 by 2020.The prosperity and development of incubators provide effective support for the success of start-ups.But now the development of China’s incubators focus on scale,too many incubators in the market,homogenization competition is serious,service quality and efficiency is not high.How to improve the quality and efficiency of incubators in the future has become the focus of national attention.At present,the network development of incubators has become the mainstream trend.In the social environment of open innovation,the network embedding of incubators will bring rich innovation resources to incubated enterprises.Effective integration of these resources is one of the key factors to improve the incubation performance.However,the existing literature rarely studies the incubator network from the incubator level,ignoring the impact of the incubator ’ s own resource integration capability on the incubation performance.Therefore,under the guidance of open innovation theory,this study selects network embedding,resource integration ability and innovation incubation performance as the research variables,constructs a theoretical model framework,and discusses the relationship between network embedding and incubation performance and the intermediary role of resource integration ability.Through the questionnaire survey of incubator managers and employees,220 valid questionnaires were obtained.AMOS23.0 software and SPSS22.0software were used for empirical analysis to verify the correctness of the hypothesis.The empirical results show that network embedding and its two dimensions(relational embedding and structural embedding)are significantly positively correlated with innovation incubation performance.Resource integration capability and its two dimensions(resource acquisition capability and resource allocation capability)are significantly positively correlated with innovation incubation performance;network embedding is significantly positively correlated with resource integration capability;resource integration capability and its two dimensions partially mediate the positive relationship between network embedding and innovation incubation performance.Overall,this study based on the open innovation theory,through theoretical analysis and empirical research to explore the mechanism of network embedding of incubators on incubation performance,and the mediating effect of resource integration ability in the process.The research results not only reveal the influencing mechanism and path of network embedding of incubators on incubation performance,but also make up for the lack of research on network embedding and capability of incubators in existing literature,which has important theoretical significance.It provides the incubator with confidence to establish an external network for resource integration,and emphasizes that the incubator needs to enhance its ability of resource integration according to its own conditions and external environment. |
