Nowadays the characteristics of the VUCA era are becoming more and more obvious,that is,the environment is Volatile,Uncertain,Complex and Ambiguous.In order to obtain sustainable competitive advantages,enterprises need to create a fair and free environment to stimulate employees’ innovative behaviors,and empowering leadership is increasingly favored.The new generation of employees have professional knowledge and creativity,and are the main practitioners of innovative behavior.However,the influence of empowering leadership on the innovative behavior of the new generation of employees is still immature.By collecting,collating and summarizing relevant literatures at home and abroad,and based on social cognitive theory and resource conservation theory,this study constructs a moderated mediation model,taking empowering leadership as independent variable,innovative behavior as dependent variable,general self-efficacy and role pressure as mediating variable,and proactive personality as moderating variable,to explore the relationship between empowering leadership and innovative behavior of new generation employees.By studying domestic and foreign maturity scales and relevant literature,this study conducted questionnaire design,and formed and distributed formal questionnaires on the basis of small scale preliminary investigation.In this study,the data of 292 valid questionnaires were processed and analyzed by SPSS26.0 and Amos26.0.The results confirmed the hypothesis of this paper: empowered leadership has a positive impact on general self-efficacy,role stress and innovative behavior;General self-efficacy and role stress play a mediating role in the relationship between empowering leadership and innovative behavior,and proactive personality moderates the mediating role of general self-efficacy.Based on the research results,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: Firstly,attention should be paid to the stimulation of the innovative behavior of the new generation of employees by empowering leadership;Secondly,a good working environment should be created to enhance employees’ sense of self-efficacy.Finally,managers should pay attention to the differences between empowerment and individuals with different levels of initiative.
