The Study On The Hypertension Control Situations And Strategies In Kunming And Chuxiong City Of Yunnan

With the social economy developing, the level of life improving and the pattern of behavior changing, the prevalence rate of hypertension rises rapidly. It becomes one of the main threatening health diseases. The prevalence of Chinese hypertension appears the characters of "three high", "three low", "three not". Therefore, it is imminent to carry out the prevention and control for hypertension. The research indicated that the comprehensive prevention and treatment for hypertension in the community is the most effective and economical way to control hypertension. The author made a study to the control status for the 325 hypertensive patients in Kunming and Chuxiong city, analyzed the factor affecting the rate of awareness, treatment, control and the situation of health service utilization. The result showed: 1. the rates of awareness, treatment, control were 46.2%, 32.6%, 8.9% in two communities. It is severe to the control status. 2. the hypertensive patients of the doctor/teacher/cadre, the longer course of hypertension ,acquiring the knowledge of prevention and treatment hypertension from doctor had the higher awareness rate; the hypertensive patients with knowing the control standard of hypertension, joining the medical insurance, early finding out the hypertension had the higher treatment rate; the group of patients with persisting in taking medicine, eating less salt, normal body weight had the higher control rate. 3. The ratio which the cost of outpatient service and hospital compares with the income of the hypertensive and complicaton patient was 15.6%, the expensive.medical cost made the hypertensive patient houses and the social unbearable. 4. 56.9% hypertensive patients wished to accept the community health services, but it was not enough to recognize, understand, trust the community health services. 5. The medical insurance didn't guarantee and incline to the hypertensive patient.The author put forward the following suggestions: develop the "thee class prevention" of hypertension; establish and perfect the comprehensive prevention and treatment net of hypertension in community; establish and perfect the community health services systems for the hypertension etc. non-communicable chronic diseases; study and constitute a series of medical insurance polices according with the hypertension etc. non-communicable chronic diseases patients requirement; think much of the study of the quality of life for the hypertensive.
