Study On Water Resources Demand Analysis Theory And Practice

The concepts, theory and technique of water resources demand analysis are discussed in this paper. It shows the following research results:1. It puts forward a new view on water resources demand in accordance with the sustainable development, analyses the basic trends of water resources demand and proposes a quantitative analysis method on interrelations between water saving and water demand.2. It gives a systematic evaluation to water resources demand research on the present situation and puts forward a prediction mode for water resources demand as well as the predicting method for the amount of water demand in accordance with the sustainable development.3. It lays a macroeconomic basis for the analysis of water resources demand, applies the input and output analysis method into the analysis of water resources demand, investigates the water consumption pattern in the development of the national economy, puts forward an index appraisal system for the characteristics of water consumption in the national economic development and builds a mathematic model of water price calculation for water resources demand.4. It lays a microeconomic basis for the analysis of water resources demand and probes into the water resources demand function, water price and water saving, economic analysis for water saving, etc.5. The cited cases prove that the analytic theory and method put forward in this paper are of great significance in practice and worth applying in a wider range.
