Suicide ideation is an individual in thinking produced the idea you want to die, but no action is an important component of suicidal behavior. Based on the comprehensively theoretical and empirical studies of suicide ideation, this research probes the occurrence, features, influence factors and intervention experiment approaches of suicide ideation in university students.Study 1:The Chinese revision of PANSI. In order to examine the questionnaire's reliability and validity of 1310 university students, first we adopted Chinese and English translation, text analysis and experts assessment, and examined with exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. This offers effective measuring tools for the study of suicide ideation of Chinese university students, and lays a foundation for further study of suicide ideation in university students.Study 2:The probe into the occurence and features of suicide ideation in university students.By using the revised PANSI, the occurrence and features of suicide iedation in university students were investigated, providing the basis for the study of the effect of negative life events, personality trait, and cognitive style on suicide ideation in university students.Study 3:The effect of negative life events, personality trait, and cognitive style on suicide ideation in university students.According to the results of PANSI, this research has used structural equation model to probe the influence factors on suicide ideation in university students, and used laboratory experiment method to verify the effectiveness of the questionnaire survey, and further analysis of the psychological mechanism of university student with suicide ideaiton, providing grounds for the psychological intervention experiment for university students with suicide ideation of study 4.Study 4:The research in group psychological intervention experiment for university students with suicide ideation. Based on the measurement tool of study 1, the occurence and features of study 2 and the influence factors on suicide ideation in university students of study 3, this research has designed the factors in the intervention experiment. Finally mainly in form of group intervention, and individual intervention as auxiliary form, the research of intervention experiment has been carried out for those university students with suicide ideation by group psychological intervention and conditioned emotional response interventing technique. Thus the state of psychology of university students with suicide ideation has been improved; healthy personalities have been developed and their health level has raised.Through the test of suicide ideation in university students, the description of occurence and features, the study on the influence factors and the research of intervention experiment, we can come to the conclusions as follows: 1. The revised PANSI has high reliability and validity. It can be used as a reliable and effective measure to research suicide ideation in university students in China. Exploratory and confirmatory analysis offered support for the two factors of the PANSI:positive ideation and negative ideation.2. Based on the Roc curve analysis, the rang of reference value for suicide ideation is set down with that pansi-ni score is greater than 1.625 and pansi-pi score is less 3.333 in the PANSI questionnaire, the occurrence rate of the suicide ideation among university students is 11.37%.3. Sex relates to the suicide ideation about the occurence rate of suicide ideation, the occurence rate of suicide ideation among whom the male account for 7.69% and the female account for 14.72%. From analysis of gender differences degree of suicide ideation, there is significant gender difference in positive and negative ideation, male than female in the positive ideation, female than male in the negative ideation.4. Grade relates to the suicide ideation about the occurence rate of suicide ideation, the occurence rate of suicide ideation presents the "u" type to quality, low in the middle and high at each end. From the degree of suicide ideation, there is significant grade difference in positive and negative ideation. Grade2>Grade3>Gradel>Grade4 in the positive ideation, Grade4> Grade l>Grade3>Grade2 in the negative ideation.5. Family type and birth of place relate to the suicide ideation about the occurence rate of suicide ideation. The occurence rate of suicide ideation among the single family is higher than of the nuclear family remarkably, the occurence rate of suicide ideation among rural university students is higher than of urban university students. From the degree of suicide ideation, there are significant family type and source difference in positive and negative ideation. The nuclear family than the single family in the positive ideation, the single family than the nuclear family in the negative ideation, urban than rural in the positive ideation, rural than urban in the negative ideation.6. The score of negative life events, impulse personality and cognitive style have significant difference between suicide ideation group and non-suicide ideation group. The score of negative life events, impulse personality and cognitive style of suicide ideation group is higher than that of non-suicide ideation group remarkably. There were significant correlation among negative life events, impulse personality, cognitive style and suicide ideation. Negative life events, impulse personality and cognitive style were positively associated with negative ideation, negative life events, impulse personality and cognitive style were negatively associated with positive ideation.7. Negative life events, impulse personality and cognitive style have directly effect on suicide ideation. Negative life events have indirectly effect on suicide ideation by impulse personality and cognitive style.University students'impulse personality and cognitive style mediated the relationship between negative life events and suicide ideation.In short, suicide ideation is the result of the interaction an external factors (negative life events) and internal factors (personality trait and cognitive style).8. By laboratory experiment, the impulse had significant line relations with suicide ideation, the impulse could predict the development of suicide ideation. The unreasonable cognitive had significant line relations with suicide ideation, the unreasonable cognitive could predict the development of suicide ideation.9. From the reason of suicide ideation in university students, group psychological counselling and individual intervention methods can help to reduce effectively the symptoms of suicide ideation in university students.
