In this paper, we make research on theories and application of high-tech strategic alliance, which relate to the risk theory, microeconomic, game theory, information economic and new economics-sociology. The paper mainly contains two aspects: one is the mechanism or principles; the other is the empirical study. We not only try to make the theory of high-tech strategic alliance perfect, but also try to offer the reference to the practice. The paper includes six parts:1. The value-creating mechanism of high-tech strategic alliance. First we put forward a value-creating model of common strategic alliance from the point of competitive capability. Then we analyze the character of high-tech strategic alliance. Based on these analyses, we put forward a value-creating model of high-tech strategic alliance.2. The run of high-tech enterprise strategic alliance. First of all on the basis of the setup and management of high-tech enterprise strategic alliance, this paper brings forward the macro frame of the run of high-tech enterprise strategic alliance. Then we analyze how to setup high-tech strategic alliance and how to manage it. We place emphasis on entering high-tech strategic alliance, management on, evaluating, life-cycle analysis, and system analysis. We put forward some new viewpoints: the admittance principal, the structure model and inside mechanism, dynamic evaluating system and the systematic viewpoint of cooperation and development,3. Economic analysis of high-tech strategic alliance. It is a focus of this paper. Firstly, we analysis the economic phenomenon in high-tech strategic alliance: super-profit and incomplete contract. And discuss the mechanism of their producing and the effect on the relation of alliance and the countermeasure. In this section, we place emphasis on profit-distributing problem of high-tech strategic alliance, and analyze it by employing different theories, such as game theory, Edgeworth exchange model and principal-agent theory. We bring forward the game model of the cooperation of high-tech strategic alliance, the model of profits assignment of leader-member type, the Edgeworth model of enteiprisecooperation.4. Risk analysis of high-tech strategic alliance. It is another focus of this paper. We analyze the risk in high-tech strategic alliance and put forward a series of risk evaluating models. In this part, we place emphasis on disconservation rule of risk. We discuss the disconservation rule of risk by employing different means, such as average-variance model, comprehensive model of risk assessment and Arrow-Lind theorem.5. Then we do an empirical study on high-tech strategic alliance. We take Wintel alliance for an example, which is constituted of Microsoft and Intel. The theoretic foundation of this section is economic theory and positive feedback effect. In this phase, we try to realize the combination of theory and practice.6. Finally, we summarize the dissertation, sum up the creative work, and make an insight of the further research work.
