The human society has entered the 21st century. With the push of great progress in science and technology, social economy has passed on to Knowledge Economy, in which knowledge has become the most strategic resources in firms and the competition has been more based on knowledge than before. And great development in global economy integration brings in global competition, which has increased the scale and depth of market competition greatly. As a result, the enterprises face hyper-competition. Knowledge is the only source of sustainable advantage. In order to gain competences in dynamic and complex environment, therefore, the firms must adopt a new strategic management paradigm to gain strategic response capability and flexibility, with knowledge and knowledge management (km) included in corporate strategy to build knowledge strategy (KS) so as to explore and exploit key resources or knowledge in the long run. Such research is still at the beginning, the dissertation focus on KS with reference to related research results. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, knowledge and its classification, characteristics, km and its process are concluded. It develops a knowledge system and gives an illustration of km as a general management pattern in Knowledge Economy, of functional km activities and their processes and of the knowledge-based view of the firm. Based on the analysis of related frameworks of km strategies, the dissertation gives a preliminary definition of KS and its theoretical structure and compares the new strategy paradigm with traditional strategy framework. The characteristics of knowledge results in that knowledge will be the only source of sustainable competitive advantage for firms. The coordinated evolutionary relationship between knowledge system, learning system and product sequencing is also presented. Based on the analysis of initiation, purpose, corporate vision, industry, environment factors and a knowledge-based SWOT scanning, Knowledge Gap I, II and Learning Capability Gap are gained. After an overall analysis of the theories of knowledge group strategies, the competence group by Preast, three roadmaps to build technological competence, product, process and knowledge architecture, the dissertation develops an analysis framework of KS: Knowledge Specialization Strategy (KSS), Knowledge Diversification Strategy (KDS), and Knowledge Cooperation Strategy (KCS). The steps and goals to build KS are also presented.Thirdly, after the theoretical analysis of KSS, it concludes the goals and drivers and gives an illustration of two main patterns to create and accumulateknowledge: cross transition patterns of tacit and explicit knowledge, and architectural and component knowledge, then suggests that the push and pull interaction based on sense and respond pattern is the general pattern of KSS. It designs a measurement index system for knowledge stock and develops a BP Artificial Neural Network to stimulate the knowledge stock and its structure.Fourthly, the goals and drivers of KDS, three kinds of KDS and their sequencing evolutionary process, the role of management integrative knowledge in KDS, four main patterns and their searching processes of technological diversification are presented in the dissertation. Based on knowledge platform, the influence of KS on the expansion of knowledge bases and the expansion roadmaps of knowledge bases in KDS are illustrated.- With justification and dominant logic, it develops a framework to study the factors that show influence on the decision of knowledge integration during KDS.Fifthly, the dissertation develops a general pattern for KCS. Based on cognitive science, the knowledge transfer process and its elements are illustrated in detail. Based on game theory, the stability and costs of KCS are studied. It also concludes the elements, principles and methods to develop knowledge cooperation network, and with the example of knowledge sharing network of Toyota Corporation, offers efficient countermeasures to overcome three dilemmas.Sixthly,...
