At present, The Eco-Household Project focused on contradiction between rural social economic development and ecological environmental protection is implemented nationwide. The basic characteristic of EHP based on farmer household is to build biogas digest for the core combined the pigsty and toilet construction in order to solve the energy of life in the countryside basically, in same time, improve farmer's production and living environment. The goal of Eco-Household Project is that realize rural social economic development is coordinated with rural ecological environmental protection. The Yanchi county of Ningxia Autonomous Region is a poor county. Contradiction between Local agricultural production development and ecological environmental protection is very conspicuous. According to the local actual conditions, the local government has implemented the "Three-in-one" program of Eco-Household Project for making local rural development sustainability.Main thesis of this research focuses on how utilize sustainable livelihood approach to study "Three-in-one" program of EHP impact on fanner's livelihood of the Yanchi county of Ningxia Autonomous Region. Meanwhile, A methodology for studying livelihood impacts of "Three-in-one" program of EHP was developed and has been applied in the case studies in the Yanchi County.Necessary materials and data for the studying "Three-in-one" program of Eco-Household Project on the farmer household's livelihood came from the local field investigation. Secondary materials and data from statistical yearbooks and documents were collected from local government agents. Primary materials and data were collected through group discussion, interview of key informants, field observations and sample survey. Altogether 100 farmer households were surveyed in four villages. 96 samples were available. The scope of materials and data collected and guide analysis and interpretation were based on sustainable livelihood framework.The results of study on "Three-in-one" program of Eco-Household Project impacts on farmer's livelihood assets show: no impact on farmer's natural capital, increasing local peasant households' phycical capital, financial capital, human capital and social capital.The results of study on "Three-in-one" program of EHP impacts on fanner's livelihood strategy by analyzing fanner's livelihood situation show: no impacts on fanner's household agricultural intensification and livelihood diversification.At same time, through analysing factors for this situations, the lack of farmer household's financial capital and human capital are inside factors; the outsider factors of market, institutions and policies can indrictly or drictly effect farmer houshold's assests situations.
