The Quantitative Analysis And Case Research On The Urbanization In China

In the process of China's rapid urbanization, which is characterized by fast population gathering and rapid economic growth, the problems of population, resources, environment, traffic, etc emerge in many cities. Meanwhile, there is some deviation and inadequacy in the study of urbanization theory.Firstly, the qualitative concept model of urbanization is formulated on the basis of an overall evaluation of the urbanization theories. Because of the limitation of the current method for the evaluation of urbanization the method is improved to furthest reflect the actual urbanization level, and, through international comparison, a conclusion is reached that the urbanization level of China is not "seriously lagging behind". Logistic model in common condition is gained to describe the trend of urbanization in accordance with the definition of urbanization, and the model is adopted in the case study of China's urbanization.Secondly, 40 large and medium cities in the Economic Zone round the Bohai Sea, and the Delta of the Yangtze River and the area around it are chosen for research on the China's city growth. The research shows that China's large cities grow at the same speed as medium cities, i.e., they share the parallel style of growth.Thirdly, the urbanization qualitative evaluation system of China is constructed based on the qualitative connotation of urbanization, and the indices system of urbanization quality description is formed with the use of the expert grading method. And then fuzzy synthesis evaluation based LOWA operator is used to structure the quality evaluating indices system, the monitoring system and early-warning system in China urbanization.Fourth, the fuzzy synthetic evaluation system based GIOWA operator is formed to evaluate the whole city environmental quality in a certain period of time. The result of a case study on the city environmental quality is presented, with the use of the part data of the environment of air, water and noise in 13 main cities in Jiangsu Province in 2002.Finally, the synthetic evaluation system and coordinating development theory are used to conduct an overall evaluation of the quality of development in the main cities in Jiangsu. The fuzzy language and the ANN design based on Matlab toolbox are used in the case study on the monitoring and early-warning of the district development quality.
