With the worsening of the environment and the increasing want of natural resource, more and more attention is paid on its utilization ratio to cut down the social cost in economic development. Such endeavor promoted the substitution of the traditional and unidirectional linear economy for the material closed-loop flow circulation economy having material circulation utilization as its core. Consequently, to form an integrated circulation network, a reformation of the former supply chain is required, that is, to add reverse feedback processing to the traditional "forward" supplychain-----returned logistics. Theories and approaches on theconstruction and management of returned logistics based on supply chain are studied in this thesis. And based on its characteristics and relevant operating activities, this study on returned logistics is stratified into the following three levels.Strategic level This part studies mainly on the construction pattern of returned logistics. After the analysis of its value, connotation, function links, system construction, the main characteristics of circulation economy, together with its requirements on the development of returned logistics, we pointed out that returned logistics should be based on the supply chain construction of the original equipment manufacturers.Tactical level In this part we deal with the rganization design of returned logistics. An exploration is firstly done on the cooperation relationship of the original manufacturer in the supply chain in returned logistics guided by the theory of value chain. After a systematical study of the Theory of Transaction Cost and Core Competence, we come to a conclusion that the value chain cooperation strategic alliance based on core competence can be considered as an organization model by which returned logistics can gain sustaining competition advantage. A detailed study is carried out on theconstruction of returned logistics strategic alliance. And it is noted that one of the key issues in the formation of returned logistics strategic alliance is the partner selection process. Moreover, a partner selection model has been set up which involves fuzzy mathematics,Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) , (0-1)Goal Programming, hence realizing effectively a quantitative analyzing of the qualitative factors, making it possible to optimize both quantitative factors and qualitative factors in the overall situation. It is proposed later in the designation of the returned logistics network a multi-level returned logistics facility location model for the collection, preprocessing and remanufacturing end-of-life production, and dual algorithm. This model is a mixed integer linear program (MILP) that is usually solved with branch and bound (B&B) type algorithm. A genetic algorithm is used to make B&B more efficient in finding a good feasible solution. The objective function values can be taken as objective upper bounds at the beginning of B&B, and large branches of the tree can be pruned from the search. A experimental result are presented which prove that the method is effective and feasible.Operational level In this level we mainly probe into the production and operational management of manufacturer supply chain in returned logistics. Products storage covers both remanufactured product and those new ones in general production process, making optimal inventory systems extremely complicated. Some EOQ models are derived that determine the optimal production and reproduction lot sizes for two sort policies. Moreover, a modified method is proposed that ensure discreteness of the number of orders for production or reproduction. Finally, exploration has also been done about the key role Information Technology plays in returned logistics, together with its difficulties and correspondingly some possible solutions. The thesis focuses on returned logistics development strategies in circulation economy and studies systematically relative theories and approaches of the construction and management of returned...
