Mental education is a fire-new educational idea and form which aims at enhancing students' mental growth. It is a kind of developmental and happy education which stink human nature. The core of mental education is activity. Because the mental development of students planted on activity, to organize relevant activities according to the mental characters of students is the sticking point to unfold mental education.The research of the activity of mental education is an exploiting one which faces the reality directly. It is a comprehensive research to combine the theory and practice, which is based on practical research and assisted with theoretical research. The basic ways of research are: synthesize practical inspections, case researches, monographic talks, text analysis and so on.The essential basis to run the activity of mental education is the activity texts. Nowadays it shows the distinguish feature of "a hundred flowers blossom" in the aspects of the viewing angles of making, the forms of taking on, the structure of the text and others. And in the same time it reflects the guiding thought of using activity as its center and perfect-one education. Nevertheless, it also needs further development to unify the intension of education theory, the form and contents, and other aspects of activity text.In the process of the activity of mental education, the substantial and spiritual, cognitive and affective, active and introspective and other factors effect synthetically. The paper systematically observes on situation, association, initiative, inspection, action, and other key elements of activity, it reveals the basic principle of the process of mental education in the basement of practical observation and theoretical analysis.There are three ways of basic organizing forms of the activity of mental education: collective activity, group activity, and individual activity. Collective mental educational activity mainly reflects the special topic activity and confluent activity. Group mental educational activity chiefly shows the mental training activity and mental adjustment activity. Individual mental educational activity includes individual counsel seeking activity, self-education activity, net-work education activity. These three forms of activity compose the mental educational activity system together.The methods and evaluation of mental educational activity is one of the problems the paper is trying hard to exploiting on. There are chiefly six categories for the methods of mental education: guiding-introspection, process-experiencing, practice and fulfill-training, roles-affirming, communicate-dialoguing, body-self-helping. The evaluation of the mental educational activity is a new one which is different from traditional education evaluation. The tendency of it is: from cognitive evaluation tocomprehensive evaluation, from written evaluation to situation evaluation, from final conclusion evaluation to dialogical evaluation.
