The Regulation of Elementary and Middle School Teacher Continuing Education established by the Ministry of Education was issued in 1999, which decides the five-year-round training system for China's teacher continuing education, and as a result, a teacher should receive several rounds of continuing education in his/her professional life. In the system of teacher continuing education, curriculums are the core factor and carrier of teacher continuing education activities, and also the key of realizing the goal and quality of teacher continuing education.At present, the development of knowledge economy, the reform of education and teaching and the need of the teachers themselves call for re-structuring the curriculum system of teacher continuing education. Based on the present situation, the comparison between the history and reality, the combination of theory and practice and the integration of benefiting from others and creation, the curriculum system of teacher continuing education is systematically studied. The dissertation comprises five chapters as follows:Chapter I is the introduction illustrating the reason, meaning and research methods, the concept and features, the factors of the curriculum system, and the research starting point and borderline of teacher continuing education.Chapter II is the theoretical foundation of the system of teacher continuing education analyzing the basic theory of curriculum, the process theory of teacher development and the learning theory of the teacher profession and the guidance meaning of building the curriculum system of teacher continuing education.Chapter III is the comparison research on the curriculum system of teacher continuing education in foreign countries, summing up the features and contents from which re-structuring the curriculum system of China's teacher continuing education can be benefited.Chapter IV is the historical and present situation analysis of the curriculum system of China's teacher continuing education, drawing lessons and experience from the history and searching for the main problems in the curriculum system sand reasons for reforming the structure.Chapter V is the structure of the curriculum system of teacher continuing education by learning from the foreign countries, the investigation and the curriculum theory of continuing education, which contains the following parts: the new thinking on curriculum goal and curriculum structure, the new design of curriculum implement and curriculum evaluation, and the 4 reasons, the 6 principles, the 6 contents and the 3 methods of structuring a curriculum system.
