Physical Education Course Resources (PECR) are the basis for the effective operation of P.E. courses and the guarantee for the reform and development in this area. Theoretical studies in PECR system can extend the scope of the field and perfect existing theories, while experimental studies in developing new and feasible PECR will help make up for the deficiency in present PE courses in colleges and validate previous theories. The current thesis adopts various means of research methods including literature review, interview of experts, questionnaire survey, experimental study and case study to examine the related concepts in PECR and explores the present use of PECR in present P.E. courses in colleges. Effective methods and approaches to employ PECR in P.E. course are therefore offered based on the analysis. The study yields the findings as follows:1. PECR are characterized with diversity, discrepancy, and latency. According to different taxonomies, they could be classified as intramural PECR and extramural PECR, material-based PECR and conditional PECR, natural PECR and social PECR, and overt PECR and covert PECR.2. PECR system is an open system composed of static and dynamic systems. Conditioned with P.E. course, the system integrated various kinds of resources to form a feedback system which serves the object of the course.3. As a sub-system of PECR, the static system is composed of conceptual resources, knowledge resources, experience resources, human resources, material resources and temporal-spatial resources.4. The dynamic system is an open and dynamic process of searching for effective ways to achieve objective of PECR by integrating various resources.5. P.E. courses in contemporary colleges fail to fully utilize PECR because the concept of PECR has not been fully understood and recognized.6. The effective utilization of PECR in P.E. courses is not only determined by the richness of resources but also by the way of using these resources. Therefore, it is...
