The sustainable development have already been an important program of the international commom action. The core of sustainable development is the coordinated development in between population, society , economy, science and technology, environment and resources. So the premise on which we can work out and carry out the sustainable development strategy is the evaluation and analysis of the coordinated development in between population, society , economy, science and technology, environment and resources. It is a problem to be concerned by people how to evaluate and analyse the coordinated development. By using the modern system theory and method, this paper studies systematically the theory and method of the coordinated developmwent.
