The left-behind children in rural areas are the concomitants of the peasants'going out for working. Chinese traditional stable family in rural area are impacted greatly now. Millions of peasants leave their family and lands for the urban areas and their children are left in the homeland for their parents are limited by their social conditions, living enviorments and policy limitation. The left-behind children are seperated from their parents of going-out on time and space, as has changded the style of th family education . Now in China rural ereas there are at least 20 millions left-behind children are growing up in such kind of family. It is the great issue whether these children could get good education from family, school and society and this will have much influence on the population quality in rural areas in the future.The methods of case study and mixture of quality and quantity are uesed in this dissertation and the conclusions are as followed:Firstly, the left-behind children are not the underachievers, and there are no obvious differences between the grades of children; the left-behind children are not the dropouts, and there are no obvious differences between the non- left-behind and left-behind children, even the left - behind children whose parents are both out hope to go on studying at school much more; the issue of the left-behind children belongs to the non-social behavior and only some of them are problem children.Secondly, not all the left-behind children have educational issues and there are great diffences between different children. The left-behind children whose fathers are out have not obvious educational issues, because the mothers give the children basic education on the continued social division of the family. But there are some mothers whose burdens are too heavy to guarantee the education to the children. In the family of the mothers' going out, the living level is lowering sharply and the education is lack because the social-division in the family before is overturned. The left-behind children whose parents are both out grow up under the educational style of permissive or nondirective indulgent parents. Most of the left-behind children in the single-family are the problem children, because these children endure the double pressure of the broken family and single parent's going out.Thirdly, Educational issues are influenced by the other factors, such as the social and economical conditions of the community and the schools and so on. In the community of density, having good educational traditions, light land burden and having good schooling, the educational issues are not serious. But in the community of sparseness, having bad educational traditions, heavy land burden and having bad schooling, the educational issues are serous and there is lack of the ability of solving the problem.Fourthly, the left-behind children are concentrated in the provinces and areas of Chongqing, Sichuan, Anhui, Jiangxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan and distributed in the provinces and areas of Henan, Sichuan, Hunan, Anhui, Hubei, Jiangxi, Chongqing. In this areas, educational issues are serious where the structure of left-behind children is that the main is the left-behind children whose parents are both out and mothers are out or the percentage of the left-behind children whose mothers are out and in the single-family is high.Last, to solve the educational issues of the left-behind children depends on the endeavour of the whole society. We should make more left-behind children enter the urban areas, make the family education of the left-behind children balancing and improve the custody quality. In the long term, to solve the educational issues of the left-behind children depends on the peasant workers' issues being solved and the development of rural education. It can not be solved in one day.
