With the progress of society, social development becomes people-oriented, and the management center changes from objects to people. Sports teams undertake the important task of cultivating excellent athletes and creating good results, but athletes are not machines which are used mainly to get gold medals. High-performance sports team managers should shift their idea from only gold medal to people-oriented. This can not only improve management efficiency, but also is the symbol of social progress. Probing into people-oriented management idea and model of high-level sports teams has important theoretical and practical meaning for enhancing management quality and athletic performance.This paper makes improving management quality of our high-performance sports team as the starting point and destination. The following conclusions are drawn by using methods of questionnaires interviews, case studies etc, and relying on some theories of humanism, modern management, behavior, and sports training.1.High-performance management of sports teams is a joint name of management ideas and methods based on certain rules and regulations. Athletes'right and all-around development is emphasized, and the management objectives are managed to realize. The definition reflects three meanings, that is, rules and regulations are the prerequisites, respects for athletes'humanity, right and development is the key of people-oriented management, people-oriented management of High-performance sports teams'is a general term of ideas and methods. People-oriented management for high-performance sports teams embodies three aspects, namely, respecting subject position of athletes, promoting their all-around development and guaranteeing their basic rights.2.Implementing people-oriented management for high-performance sports teams is necessary and urgent. It meets social development and teams' sustainable development, and is a makeup for other kinds of management. 3.People-oriented management for high-performance sports team has a lot of characteristics such as advanced management idea, displayed people's ontological nature, emphasized on inner motivation and diversity means.4.The basic principles of people-oriented management for high-performance sports teams included the principles of respecting for nature, shaping conduct from culture, facing personal interest, and meeting the reasonable needs.5.People-oriented management for high-performance sports teams emphasizes on the internal drive and motivation. The mechanism changes the single material incentive model which only bases on people's natural demand, and adopts various means of combination social requirements with personal development, material reward with emotional motivation, educational, example and team incentive. This forms a community consists of interests, emotion and survival which is compatible mechanism full of incentives, and which mobilizes athletes'enthusiasm and creativity as much as possible.6.People-oriented management models for high-performance sports team including the pursing for management goal of "athlete first", promoting leadership's ability, increasing education investment of athletes, guaranteeing legal rights of athletes, improving their job security, and emphasizing on the management for minor player, making sound management rules and regulations.
