This dissertation focuses on the formulation and implementation of the educational quality management strategies in Taiwan. Through literature review and comparative studies of EU, US,UK, Finland, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and China, the thesis applies Chen Yu-Kwen's perspective as its theoretical framework. By conducting series of on-site visit and in-depth interview in the primary and secondary schools which are awarded as'the best quality schools'in Taipei City from 2006 to 2008, this research has the following findings and suggestions:1.The'quality school'of Taipei Education Bureau demonstrates a significant success of educational quality management strategy.2.The implementation of educational quality management is an essential factor for the next-step education development of Education in Taiwan.3.The practice of the'quality school'focuses mostly on the curricula reform and can enhance the enthusiasm of school teachers.4. Leadership of the school master plays the most important role.5.Formulating the common consensus of on campus and developing teachers' expertise are critical to the success of educational quality management.6.Experiences of EU, US, UK, Finland, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and China lead to characterize the specialties of the Taiwanese schools in China.
