| "Business is war" just like the saying says, business competition is increasingly intense with the emergence of many new technologies in the twenty-first century. In order to last forever, the strategic behavior becomes a top priority. But the strategic competitive behavior full of chance and randomness, so it is very valuable for the enterprises to explore the rule of the evolution of corporate strategy. When the traditional strategic management theory plays the smaller and smaller role in today's business practices, it is time to expand the study for the strategic management.This dissertation introduces the theory of behavioral ecology to the area of corporate strategy. Taking the whole, contacts and develop ideas as a starting point, based on the theories of ecology, economics, management science, evolutionary economics and multi-disciplinary, using the methods of analogy research, a combination of theoretical and empirical, qualitative analysis and quantitative evaluation, this dissertation study the application of behavioral ecology on the strategic management by the help from the tools of biological evolution, evolutionary game theory, case study, migration and metaphor analysis, DEA data envelopment analysis, cost benefit analysis.Viewing from behavioral ecology, this dissertation presents the evolution of corporate strategy of the four basic stages: change and innovation, competition and collaboration, market selection, learning and genetic. Drawing on the help of behavioral ecology research including reproduction and variation, evolutionary stable strategy ESS, competition and co-evolution, niche theory, fitness evaluation and routine learning, path dependence theory of organizational learning theory, this dissertation build a basic process of strategy evolution and summarizes the path and principles on the above four basic stages of strategic evolution.Finally, taking the China's four comprehensive internet portal(QQ, SINA, NTES, SOHU) as a case study, using the framework of behavioral ecology, the dissertation study the China's IT industry, analysis the track of the strategic innovation, collaborative competition, market selection and Strategic learning on the process of Strategic evolution, confirms the practice and theory of strategic evolution. |
