Research On The Enterprises' Technological Innovation Based On The Knowledge Alliances

Faced with environment of the integration of global economy at the information age, and the rise of knowledge-based economy, knowledge has become essential productive elements for the development of enterprises. Around the world, there have been strategic technological alliances or knowledge alliances in recent years, whose essential goal is to acquire technological knowledge outside the enterprises. These new characters are suitable for the demand of the market economy environment, which requires agile strategic alliances. Under this condition, the enterprises' technological innovation based on knowledge alliances appears and develops as well. However, it faces with challenges and dilemmas in enterprise's establishment, organization, cooperation, run, even in creation of product and distribution of incomes because of the involvement of more than one interest group. Therefore, its management practices and behaviors are becoming extremely complex. Along with the above-mentioned problems, new theory should be noted, such as technological knowledge transfer and distribution. Although the research of enterprises' technological innovation has become mature, the appearance of knowledge alliances puts forward new research project for the technological innovation.This dissertation emphasizes on particularities between knowledge alliances' and general enterprises' technological innovation in mechanism of strategy and organization, process of innovation, frame of knowledge chains and knowledge production, and sequent information organization, utilization and guarantee. It has seven chapters, and chapter 3, 4, 5, 6 are the core parts.The first two chapters aim at studying the realization, documents and theories of knowledge alliances' technological innovation. In the first chapter, the author first introduced backgrounds and put forward the problems by practical and documentary analysis and comments on enterprises' technological innovation and research documents related to knowledge alliances, then points out the deficiency of former researches, and finally explains the research methods and logic of this dissertation. In the second chapter, the author, who views the technology as knowledge, discusses the viewpoint of technological knowledge theories, which service as logic jumping-off point. The author also analyses knowledge process of technological innovation. Based on process of enterprises' technological innovation, he offers the network viewpoints of enterprises' technological innovation and promotes the theoretical study of enterprises' technological innovation based on knowledge alliances.From the third to the sixth chapter, the strategy mechanism, organization mechanism, knowledge process and distribution mechanism of newly created products for enterprises' technological innovation based on knowledge alliances are discussed. In chapter three, the author expatiates that, under the condition of knowledge alliances, strategiccompetition of enterprises' technological innovation can be a prerequisite of integration of enterprises' technological abilities. In turn, the strategic competition mechanism is determined by the integration of core technological abilities to achieve technological leap, collocate or reorganize the current technological abilities, and take the lead in realizing the allied enterprises' technological innovation. In chapter four, through the comment on typical technological innovation forms, the author suggests that enterprises' technological innovation based on knowledge alliances is a form of market arrange. Its organization is a dynamic, open and learning-based network along with dynamic group and virtual scientific research network concerning with technological innovation. Among them, the integration of alliances' culture is the determining factor for the innovation network. Chapter five focuses on the process of the integration, creation and diffusion of the members' technological knowledge under the allied condition. It views their technological knowledge process management as a dynamic spiral process management, which evolves from personal knowledge management and corporation knowledge management to inter-organizational knowledge management. In Chapter six, the author, through analyzing technological knowledge market and interior technological knowledge, points out that their failure sometimes poses difficulties to the enterprises. However, knowledge alliances can make market technological knowledge interior, so as to achieve equilibrium between its adoption of the market principle and internalization. Therefore, knowledge property right arrangement of knowledge alliances' enterprise technological innovation should be unclear.In the last chapter, the author thinks that the risks of technological innovation are caused by the uncertainty of technological innovation by the analysis of the risks of technological innovation. The sequent analysis of technological innovation uncertainty has made the author believe that this uncertainty, to the end, is evoked by the lack of complete information for technological innovation. Therefore, there comes the information guarantee for technological innovation. Under the condition of knowledge alliances, this uncertainty takes on even more particularity, which leads to the particularity of technological innovation information guarantee. Based on the above analysis, the author regards information integration as the basic principles for information guarantee. In this passage, the author probes into the patterns, basis process, and systematic management of information integration. Finally, the construction method of information guarantee has been brought forward, which contains two aspects: one is the enterprise itself information guarantee sustenance; the other is social sustenance of enterprises' information guarantee. Meanwhile, each aspect has two sides: construction of information technology guarantee frame and information resource guarantee.
