Research On The Innovation Mechanism Of High-tech Industry Cluster

Currently, the world economy appears two different trends and character: on the one hand, the trends of globalization are further deepened, the mutual denpence and relationship are strengthened; on the other hand, the localization develops futher, the teeming of industry clusters is the best evidence. In the background of economy globalization, the industry clusters are not submerged by the tidal wave of globalization, but teem and develop continuously. Now what we can see is the world domined by Industry cluster.High-tech Industry cluster has become the most successful model to develop the high-tech industry, and it is significant to promote technology advancement and the Quality of Economic Growth. So in the last decade, there has been a widespread resurgence of interest in high-tech industry clusters.The reason why the high-tech Industry clustera are so charming is its innovative adventage. The is because that in the globalization era, the competition increasingly prick up and the development of science technology change with each passing day, so innovative ability directly determine the competition power of a nation or a region. In this background, any firms can not keep up with the pace of economy develop only depend on its own strength. In recent years, the man cognize that the innovation is a kind of collective action, and the innovation depend on the social network, depend on the collaboration, and depend on the mutual study among firms. The Industry clusters are the agglomeration of lots of correlative firms and supporting institutions, which just accord with the mechanism and demand of innovation. The bridge function of the industry cluster linking with firms, nation and region are more and more important. The modern innovation theory claims that the Industry cluster is a dwindled national innovation system, which is a circumstance favor of innovation.Although the Industry cluster has special innovative adventage, in fact, no all Industry cluster can bring their innovative adventage sufficiently. The Silicon Valley creates a miracle, and many nations want to creat a same one, but terminate in failure. In the current, the literatures about the innovation mechanism and path are few. Establishing a perfect innovative mechanism of Industry cluster and realizing the continuous development of industry cluster and national economy, are the key problem to our country currently. So we point out the study project: the study on the innovative mechanism of high-tech Industry cluster. The goal of the study is to understand fully the innovative mechanism of high-tech Industry cluster through detail theory study and points out structive advice. So this study can enrich the literatures about the innovation of high-tech Industry cluster, at the same time, guide the practice of high-tech Industry cluster in our country.Although certain theoretical and practical research on the innovation of high-tech industry cluster have been developed with plenty of achievement. The innovative mechanism of high-tech industry cluster needs study further. So based on these literatures, this paper points out the measurement index system of innovative performance of high-tech industry cluster and builds the conceptual model of uncertainty environment, social network, key factors that effect firm's innovative performance, firm's innovative performance, Industry cluster's innovative performance; analyzes the relationship among them and points out hypotheses; examines the conceptual model and hypotheses through empirical analysis using the software of AMOS 4.0 and the data coming from the questionnaires of 136 firms; discusses the empirical result and point out the significance in theory and practice. This paper includes following parts. Firstly, reviews the relative literature about cluster innovation and evaluates the contribution and shortage, based on this, summarizes the factors this paper will analyze.Secondly, designs the evaluation index system of high-tech Industry cluster. The literatures about this are very few, but the literatures about national innovation system and region innovation are much more. So according to these literatures, the paper design the evaluation index system the fit for our country.Thirdly, builds the conceptual model of uncertainty environment, social network, key factors that effect firm's innovative performance, firm's innovative performance, Industry cluster's innovative performance. There are two breakthroughs. The first is research idea, and the second is research content. Taking the current literature for reference, this paper divides encertainty environment into three dimensions: dynamics, complex and hostility; divides social networks into two dimensions: network density and network intensity; divides innovative performance into three dimensions: economic performance, social performance, and growth performance. In this chapter, analyses the relationships between social network, the key factors that effect innovative performance of firms, the firm's innovative performance and innovative performance of high-tech indystry cluster and points out the hypotheses.Fourthly, analyses the influence of the uncertainty environment on the social network. In the high uncertainty environment, the firms are more dependent on the external environment and the link between internal and external is social network. So, the uncertainty environment will influence the social network. Now the literature about this is very few. The paper analyses their relationship deeply and points out hypotheses.Fifthly, theoretical model and hypotheses we put forward are tested using AMOS software. The data are from questionnaire of 136 software enterprises within Changchun software industry cluster. Results of the test indicate that the model is well supported and sixteen out of twenty hypotheses are supported.Finally, a discussion is made on the test results, which further makes it clear that out research is of great importance both in theory and practice. We analyses the significance of hypotheses, which are supported and analyses the cause of hypotheses which are not supported according to the special development background of Chinese high-tech industry cluster. Then put forward some advice about how to building cluster social network.The basic conclusions of the dissertation are as follows:In high-tech industry cluster, network density is positively with the availability of knowledge and technology of firms; network intensity is positively with the availability of knowledge and technology of firms; network density is positively with the availability of human capital of firms; network intensity is positively with the availability of human capital of firms; availability of knowledge and technology of firms is positively with the innovative performance of firms; availability of human capital of firms is positively with the innovative performance of firms; the innovative performance of firms is positively with the cluter's economy performance; the innovative performance of firms is positively with the cluter's social performance; the innovative performance of firms is positively with the cluter's growth performance; the innovative performance of firms is positively with the cluter's economy performance; the dynamics of environment is positively with network density; the dynamics of environment is positively with network intensity; the complexity of environment is positively with network density; the complexity of environment is positively with network intensity; the hostility of environment is positively with network intensity.
