The technology revolution based on the computer, networking and communication technologies since 1990s pushes the global economy gradually entering knowledge economy era. Knowledge is increasingly becoming the most important source of enterprise competence. Sustainable competitive advantages depend on the capabilities in creating, sharing and applying knowledge. In the meanwhile, it becomes more difficult for individual enterprise to achieve sustaining growth merely relies on its own resources, especially in innovation fields. Cooperative innovation is hot everywhere, and network is playing major role in the innovation system, whereas single enterprise just embodies one node of the innovation network. Taking the growing importance of knowledge economy and increasing prevalence of enterprises cooperation as the background, some enterprises face difficulties of knowledge transfer in cooperative innovations, which affect the effectiveness and performance of cooperative innovation. Appropriate theoretical guidance is necessitated to help enterprise in recognize the urgency of knowledge transfer stickiness (KTS), fin effective ways to reduce KTS, and enhance cooperative innovation performance (CIP). Taking the promotion of cooperative innovation as the aim, focusing on knowledge transfer as the research emphasis, the dissertation carries out deep investigation into the effect of KTS on CIP.Based on the rationales of innovation theory and knowledge management theory, and the methodology of empirical study and statistical analysis, the dissertation puts forward the concept of KTS, investigates the basic principles of inter-firm cooperative innovation and knowledge transfer, and analyzes the mechanism of knowledge transfer in cooperative innovation. Then the dissertation implements statistical analysis with the software of AMOS4.0 and SPSS 13.0 to investigate the effect of KTS on CIP through empirical study. And finally the dissertation proposes the countermeasures to decrease KTS and promote knowledge integration based on the statistical research and case study. The dissertation consists of two parts: theoretical research and empirical research.Chapter 2-4 is the theoretical research part.Chapter 2 presents the basic principles of inter-firm knowledge transfer, which defines concepts of knowledge and knowledge transfer, proposes concept of KTS, analyzes complex factors of inter-organizational KTS and constructs the conceptual model of KTS dimensions. Then the author summarizes the general model and chromatography framework of inter-organizational knowledge transfer and constructs the integrated model of inter-organizational knowledge transfer based on stickiness.Chapter 3 analyzes the organizational pattern and performance evaluation system of inter-firm cooperative innovation. This chapter defines the content of cooperative innovation, constructs the decision methods of cooperative innovation modes selection, and proposes performance evaluation system of inter-organizational cooperative innovation.Chapter 4 reveals the mechanism of knowledge transfer in cooperative innovation. The Chapter analyzes the motivation and the essence of cooperative innovation, classifies the decision-making choices under different information structures and different intellectual property protection strategies, researches into the motivation mechanism of decreasing KTS in cooperative innovation, and constructs knowledge-supported risk conduction model in cooperative innovation.Chapter 5-8 is the empirical research part.Chapters 5 proposes the relationship hypothesis between different variables and constructs the conceptual model; Chapter 6 designs the empirical study methods; Chapter 7 implements the descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, validity analysis and correlation analysis of the questionnaires with SPSS13.0, and then implements hypothesis testing of the structural equation model with AMOS4.0. Chapter 8 takes the joint development on the new insulating material of DCT Company and DFM Company as an example, to analyze the activities to reduce KTS and develop knowledge integration in cooperative innovation process. Based on empirical study, the dissertation proposes that it is necessary to improve knowledge transfer from reducing knowledge stickiness, participant stickiness and process stickiness. Simultaneously, enterprises must pay attention to the establishment of knowledge-sharing system and the construction of learning organization to strengthen knowledge integration.Main innovative points from the theoretical analysis includes: (1) putting forward the concept of KTS and representing that with mathematical model; (2) analyzing the essence of cooperative innovation based on the method of small world network model, which exists in the inter-organizational knowledge transfer; (3) constructing the knowledge-supported risk conduction model in cooperative innovation. Meanwhile, empirical study constructs the model of the effect of KTS on CIP. And then, the author implements questionnaire and statistical test by way of AMOS4.0 and SPSS13.0. The results show that: (1) knowledge stickiness and participant stickiness produces negative effect on CIP through the medium of knowledge integration at different significant levels, but the effect of process stickiness CIP has not been tested; (2) effect of knowledge integration on technology innovation performance (TIP) is stronger than on KIP, and the effect of knowledge on MIP integration has not got tested; (3) all the positive influences among TIP, KIP and MIP have not got tested. TIP and KIP, MIP and TIP, both have significant positive relationship, but KIP and MIP do not have significant positive relationship.
