The performance, management and optimization have become the most important issues in the manufacturing network (MN) development. Aiming at solving them, this paper does some researches as following:1. Through the research on some operation modes including supply chain(SC), agile manufacturing(AM), networked manufacturing(NM) and virtual enterprise(VE), the concept and characteristics of MN are firstly summarized in this paper, then the present situation of MN is introduced, later the urgent problems in the dynamic, chanceful and complicated quality management are proposed.2. This paper proposes the concept of Manufacturing Network Performance by analyzing the Manufacturing Network Performance Analyzing and Evaluation System (MN-PAES), and then develops the MN-PAES and points out its components. This paper gives out the improvement suggestions by introducing the MN-PAES into Weichai Power MN, the MN-PAES practicality and feasibility are also been verified.3. The concept of Manufacturing Network Information Sharing Dimension (MN-ISD) is proposed by researching the content, mode and the degree of cooperation of the MN information sharing, the effect of information sharing scheme on the criteria in MN-PAES under the circumstance of competition mode among vendors. This paper simulates three classical information sharing modes by system dynamics (SD) methods, and finds out the optimal information sharing mode based on comparison. The sensor of Weichai Power MN is developed, and applied in more than 200 suppliers. This obtains a good result.4. This paper shows VMI could get a better profit improvement in a whole by mathematical modeling. Also, this paper proposes the inventory control method based on destination and (s,S)strategy under uncertain demand condition. In addition, the inventory control method based on joint shipment is developed. The two models are better used in the Weichai Power MN. The practicality of the two models is verified through analyzing the efficiency. Finally, the VMI models are implemented by the WMS system.5. The quality control model based on the manufacturing network lifecycle is developed. On this basis, evolutionary game theory is also introduced in dynamic quality control decision making, it shows the quality control decision making are always influenced by four factors, that is extra profits gained by high quality, extra cost caused by high quality, extra profit distribution coefficients under a certain quality sensitivity and related laws system.Finally, some conclusions and further study areas are given.
