The Research On The Theories And Policies In The Construction Of China's Maritime Strategic Frontier

Maritime strategic frontier construction is an issue concerning a nation's maritime rights, which belongs to the field of geostrategy. With the human exploration and exploitation of the ocean, the value of the ocean is more prominent. The ocean has become an increasingly important space for the human survival and development. The construction of maritime strategic frontier is an important measure for the countries, especially those with vast oceans, to maintain and extend national interests, to upgrade comprehensive national power and to realize sustainable development in the future. The construction of maritime strategic frontier for China is one of the important parts for the national security and strategic development. Thirdly, based on the geostrategic theory and national security and development theories, it systematically narrates theoretical basis in the construction of China's maritime strategic frontier, and puts forward the general assumption of China's maritime strategic frontier. Fourthly, basing on the theoretical framework of China's maritime strategic frontier,and starting from the requirements of the national security and developing strategies, the dissertation advances the strategic aims such as strategic objectives, fundamental missions and major policies.The construction of China's maritime strategic frontier is the achievement of the development of China's maritime strategic ideology since the founding of New China, especially since the opening-up and reform, and it is also the specific practice and representation of the concept of the "harmonious ocean".
