Emotion and personality traits impact greatly on attitude and cognition, which ultimately affect the staff's behavior and performance. On the basis of literature review, interview and questionnaire survey, the research conducts the study on knowledge workers'job burnout. Based on the model of "stimulator-cognition-emotions-behavior", in the perspective of emotion intelligence, constructed and verified the model of emotion-burnout, perfectionism-burnout of knowledge workers in organization.The research includes five parts:(1) The choice of the questionnaire and the verification of each content structure; (2) The main effect analysis of influential factors of knowledge workers'emotions on the content of job burnout, and the moderating effect of emotion intelligence; (3) The main effect analysis of perfectionism on the content of job burnout, and the moderating effect of emotion intelligence; (4)The effects of demographical and organizational variables on the content of job burnout; (5) the measures of active intervention in the perspective of emotions for both organizational level and personal level.The survey was conducted to investigate in 15 enterprises and institutions in hi-tech Industries development zone, which lie in Wuhan optical valley.522 valid questionnaires were retrieved. Different statistical methods, such as confirmatory factor analysis, T test, variance analysis, correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were applied for data analysis. The findings of the research are as follows:Firstly, by using confirmatory factor analysis, content structure model of each measurement factor is examined. The reliability and validity of the four questionnaires are highly enough.Secondly, by using correlation analysis and regression analysis, it reveals that the influential factors of knowledge workers'emotions is a significant predictor of exhaustion, depersonalization and reduced accomplishment; emotion intelligence is the moderator between the influential factors of knowledge workers'emotions and exhaustion, depersonalization, emotion intelligence enhances their negative correlation. Third, by using correlation analysis and regression analysis, it reveals that perfectionism is a significant predictor of exhaustion and depersonalization; emotion intelligence is the moderator between perfectionism and exhaustion, depersonalization, emotion intelligence enhances their positive correlation; emotion intelligence is the moderator between perfectionism and reduced accomplishment, emotion intelligence weakens their negative correlation.Fourthly, the results of t-test and ANOVA indicate that some demographical and organizational variables have significant effects on the content of job burnout, such as marriage, education, working years, position etc.Finally, empirical findings are used to analyze the principles of emotion management, discussion on the measures of active intervention lie in both organizational level and personal level, in the perspective of emotions.
