The value of drama catalog criticism embodied in drama theory and the history of drama have been discussed by some scholars in recent years. however examining the results of these studies found that the research from the perspective of critical style of drama catalog is basically blind. so this study provides the academic space and prospects.The Ancient Chinese drama catalog criticism refers to a text format of criticism or evaluation of ancient Chinese drama through the analysis of drama writer, drama works. It reflects the drama critics ’unique spirit structure, experience, methods, ways of thinking and other social history and cultural spirit. All these are reflected through text systems (genre),text body (body language or the language style), text appearance (style).The research on ancient Chinese drama catalog is important for the development and refination the history of drama critique,Unearthing the drama theory from the drama catalog criticism, making the research from diverse angle and to be more comprehensive. Through it the opinion that "how said" and "said what "should be the similarly important should be set up, providing one kind of research model for ancient chineses drama thus impelled other drama criticism style research.The first chapter focuses on the origins and prevail reason of drama catalog which is believed based on the the advantages of Chinese traditional catalog.
