The problem of the migrant workers’ urban integration has important strategic significance. First of all, in economic terms, it is conducive to expanding domestic demand, driven by investment; Secondly, in a social context, it is conducive to the elimination of the new urban dual structure, to achieve social justice and social equality; Furthermore, in terms of population, it is conducive to promote population bonus transformation to the quality of the population. Therefore, the urban integration of migrant workers is a real problem which is highly concerned in the academic circles.Social trust is a "positive expected",reflecting the quality of social relations and the positive and negative social mood orientation. Previous studies have demonstrated that social trust is a main factor to strengthen social cohesion, promote social integration. The society untrust curing or expanded easily lead to class conflict, social protests, intergroup isolation.Affected by the household registration system barrier, mobility, underlying identity, the migrant workers’ social trust characteristics should arouse enough attention,as well as its influence to the urban integration. However, from the existing literature, it is not yet caused widespread concern of the researchers. Both as a form of social custom, or as a form of social capital, or as a form of social mentality, social trust will have a major impact on the urban integration process of migrant workers, providing a new theoretical perspective and analysis tools. In view of the above, this study is to explore the urban integration of migrant workers based on the perspective of social trust, survey sites to Shanghai, mainly for migrant workers groups, using questionnaires and depth interviews methods to collect material. This study collected a total of530valid questionnaires, using quantitative data analysis, frequency analysis, analysis of variance and multiple linear regression models and statistical methods, also visited the31interviewees. Specifically, this study is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter introduces the research background and significance. The second chapter reviews related research literature about the urban integration, trust, social trust. The third chapter in-depth analyzes how social trust affects the urban integration of migrant workers from the perspective of the social customs, social capital, social mentality. The fourth chapter based on survey data, using frequency analysis, analysis of variance method examines the overall situation of the migrant workers’ social trust and internal differences, and then, do a descriptive statistical analysis of urban integration of migrant workers, quantitative evaluation of the degree of integration of migrant workers urban. The fifth chapter uses multiple linear regression model to test the role and direction of social trust influence on the migrant workers’ urban integration. The sixth chapter based on interviews, analyzes the quality characteristics of the process of constructing and urban integration of migrant workers and social trust. The last chapter is about the summary of the full text of research and relevant policy advice and research prospects.Based on the analysis of the above content, the important finding of this study is that:Firstly, in the control of the individual and family factors, the special trust and the general universal trust still had a significant positive impact on the degree of the urban integration of the migrant workers, the typical universal trust showing no significant effect. Compared to a special trust, the general universal trust produces a more prominent impact on the migrant workers’ urban integration. Social trust negative function of the migrant workers’ urban integration is greater than the positive.Secondly, for a different urban integration dimension, the size and direction of the role of different social trust variable differs. the special trust, the general universal trust and the typical universal trust demonstrate more influence on the psychological and social cultural integration of migrant workers, limited influence on the economic integration, just the general universal trust has a significant positive impact on the economic integration.Thirdly, migrant workers presents the characteristics of traditional and modern trust mode duality, migrant workers is to take advantage of the trust relationship the resources to help them integrate into the city, Migrant workers through practice shaping the values and lifestyle of the city to obtain city identity and adapt to the process of urban society. The characteristics and contribution of this study is also that:First,it takes measure of social trust on the basis of the understanding of the connotations of social trust, puts social trust on certain social interaction situations, thus helping to improve the social trust explain efforts.Second, yet there is little empirical research from a quantitative point of view to examine the effect of social trust to migrant workers’ urban integration. This study has made up for this shortfall.
