Applying the theory and method of system science, economics, managementscience, econometrics, spatial econometrics,The dissertation researches the interactmechanism and static&dynamic relationship between higher education cooperation andeconomic development from theory and practice. The main research work contents andconclusions are as follows:Firstly, the dissertation qualitative analyzes the interactive mechanism betweenhigher education cooperation and economic development. In the basis of definition ofthe core concepts and a review of research on the relationship between higher educationcooperation and economic development, the dissertation analyzes the mechanism ofhigher education cooperation to economic development by enhanced directly andindirectly economy and innovation function of higher education; and the mechanism ofthe level or mode of economic development to higher education cooperation.Secondly, the dissertation studies the comprehensive level of higher educationbased on cooperation by the introduction of cooperative factors. By measuring the factorscores strength and benevolent cross DEA efficiency of higher education based oncooperation, constructing comprehensive evaluation matrix and evaluating highereducation comprehensive level more objectively from the perspective of “quality” and“quantity” of higher education, the performances are different between regions.Thirdly, by using the system theory, the dissertation static analyzes the coordinationbetween higher education, which is based on the cooperation, and economicdevelopment. Based on ER-XIANG dual system theory and compound system theory itmeasures the higher education based on coordination ER-XIANG dual system,economic development ER-XIANG dual system and higher education based oncoordination–economic development system by using coupling degree. Thecoordination is good between higher education and economic development, but theformer is lower than latter.Fourthly, based on the method of management science and spatial econometrics, thedissertation analyzes higher education efficiency difference and spatial aggregation withthe technology gap. Under the meta-frontier method, non-racial and non-angled SBMdirectional distance function and technology gap ratio, the dissertation measures andcompares the higher education efficiency difference. It also calculates higher education efficiency spatial aggregation index to quantitatively describe higher educationcooperation from the perspective of spatial aggregation. The performances are differentand the aggregation index is high.Fifth, using the econometrics method, the dissertation dynamic analyzes theinteractive relationship between higher education based on cooperation and economicdevelopment, according to the higher education spatial aggregation index. Firstly itapplies panel VAR approach, methods of impulse-response functions and variancedecomposition, panel cointegration test, GMM estimation in studying relationshipbetween higher education and economic development. Secondly higher education spatialaggregation index and economic development model is proposed. The dynamicrelationship between higher education cooperation and economic development hasestablished analyzing by the method of AR root test, impulse-response functions andvariance decomposition.
