The study of competitiveness as an economic theory was originated from the western countries in1980s. It caters to the trend of systematization of the economic, and the tide of digitalization of economic study. The theory was developed quickly and practiced widely thanks to the above characters. Tourism industry is a newly burgeoning industry in China. Regional competition was getting more and more dog-eat-dog. The developments of urban tourism are confronted with a great deal of current pressure such as economic growth, product innovation, market competition and sustainable development, etc. Urban tourism competitiveness is an important part of urban competitiveness system. The issue of competitiveness analysis of urban tourism industry came to my mind under the above backdrop.The study is aiming at developing and summating the present theory system of this issue as well as the practicing method. In additional, Construction of a science more in line with the national conditions of China’s city tourism competitiveness evaluation index system and three of the best attractions’cities Dalian,Hangzhou,Chengdu,as an example, the evaluation of the three cities of the integrated tourism competitiveness. The study mainly involves the theory of competitiveness, regional economics, industrial economics and tourism principles, etc. Combining positive study and normal study, quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, this paper systematically studies urban tourism industry competitiveness.Chapter1discusses the background of this study, the significance of this research, research methods, the structure and major innovation of this paper, and so forth.Chapter2Summary of domestic and foreign, study on the competitiveness of research, the competitiveness of city, tourism, urban studies, tourism studies and urban competitiveness of the tourism competitiveness study of the status quo and the main results both at home and abroad respectively.Chapter3Study the basic theory of city tourism competitiveness. Through the city competitiveness of key concepts related to theory and analysis, combing the city tourism competitiveness of the theoretical basis; based on this,listed the tourism competitiveness of the six decision factors, including the tourism resources, location and traffic conditions, tourism enterprises competitiveness, the role of government, tourism, environment, tourism, the level of talent and technology. Analysis of the mechanism of these factors deeply, reveals the competitiveness of the basic reasons for the difference.Chapter4Urban tourism competitiveness index system. Focus on the meaning of studying the competitiveness of city tourism system; city tourism competitiveness index system principles. Urban Tourism Competitiveness Index System framework and evaluation of city tourism competitiveness evaluation methods were studied. Put forward the universal applicability evaluation system, answered how to measure a competitive differences in the performance.Chapter5Urban tourism competitiveness evaluation studies on case-the best tourist cities in China as an example. Through the analysis of selected samples to determine the three cities as a case material; through the classification of the target of comparison, the empirical evaluation of the applicability of the system, and evaluate the reasonableness of the results analyzed.Chapter6Enhance the competitiveness of our country tourist town of Analysis. General looking at the development of Chinese tourism, urban tourism and urban development of the existing problems of tourism development is proposed to enhance the competitiveness of the city tourism basic countermeasure.Chapter7is the last part of this paper which includes the main conclusions and inadequate of this paper.
