By focusing upon the two aspects of both the basic quality and professional capacity, and also by using the micro perspective of the definition of the teacher’s quality and the fussy connotation of the teacher’s quality in current research, this research paper puts forward a "big quality" concept to deal with the problems now still exist among the teachers who teach Chinese to foreign students, which include the conditions that some have been neglected with their basic quality, others have urgent needs to further improve their professional capacity, and in doing this, the paper offers a detailed description about the teachers’ professional capacity, quality of personality, and also the psychological quality. In thoroughly describing the professional accomplishment, personal quality and psychological quality that the teachers need, the paper offers a complete analysis of the teachers’quality of Chinese language knowledge, quality of personality, and also the quality of inter-cultural communication. As having been emphasized on its properties in practice and application, this research has an orientation that it will responsibly provide a fully-dimensional and conveniently-operational self-developing direction for those new teachers. This perspective shows reasonable creative significance in the research area.The quality of the teachers teaching Chinese to foreign students can be understood in four different aspects:the vocational consciousness, the professional consciousness, the working spirit and the moral character integrity in working. A teacher who teaches Chinese to foreign students should always bear in mind the correct vocational consciousness so to make himself/herself a "multi and full capability" teacher, to get rid of those biased ideology in understanding his or her own value from the social, intellectual, and academic perspectives. He/she should be fully conscious about his/her self professional identity, which implies that he/she is never a simple teacher who only knows teaching, he/she should also never try to divide his/her profession from academic research. The professional spirit demands not only love and strong feeling towards the professional job, it also requires whole-hearted and real care, patience and understanding about the students. As the personals doing job concerning foreign affairs, the teachers teaching Chinese language to foreign students should absolutely have moral character integrity, proper behaviour, and they are also urgently expected to maintain an elegant national dignity.As it is obvious that the moral standard can never be easily measured in numbers, and the paper has no any intention to criticize or evaluate anybody, it only offers some assumptions about the teachers’ personality quality from two aspects:first,"noble and moral behaviours", second,"excellent spiritual conditions". The paper puts forward some suggestions from both the perspectives of "being as a moral human" and "being as a moral teacher", hoping that the teachers teaching Chinese to foreign students should be excellent in both "public moral" and "private moral". By pointing out that the teachers ought to be energetic in two ways, first, be "energetic in spiritual conditions", second, be "energetically healthy in personality", the paper insists that the teachers should not only be energetic-to always pass positive energy to the students, to be strong-willed, and fully enthusiastic in their work-to always show responsibility, passion and true love to the students; and above all, they ought to possess excellent personality.By applying the concept of "belief" into the research, the paper investigates the psychological quality of the teachers teaching Chinese to foreign students from three aspects, the self-belief, the belief in the students, and the belief in the teaching of the teacher and the learning of the students. It is considered that the belief of the teachers who teach Chinese to foreign students includes "knowing oneself","teaching wisdom", and "psychological stress". A teacher needs to be self-respect, open-minded, and continuous self-improvements, and he/she needs to be clear about his/her identity of being "the media","the director" in his or her teaching. A teacher’s correct self belief also includes some stable psychological condition, strong mental power to bear, and skilful technique to adjust one’s self moods and feelings. The teacher’s belief towards the students includes "knowing the students","knowing the learners’emotional conditions", and as the words imply, the teacher’s belief in both teaching and learning includes "the belief in the students’ learning" and "the belief in one’s own teaching". Only by making everything clear about the belief of the teaching and learning, can a teacher know how to provide the students suitable learning environment, how to improve his/her own teaching efficiency, so to help the students realize their learning aims.The understanding of the Chinese language itself and the understanding of Chinese as a second language, is the key part of the professional accomplishment of the teachers teaching Chinese to foreign students."The understanding of the Chinese language itself means that "to profoundly understand the important language elements of the Chinese language and master its intrinsic quality", and only when a teacher possesses this quality, can he/she be able to solve all the unexpected problems occurring in his/her teaching."The understanding of Chinese as a second language" is a particular argument this research proposes, and what is more important and difficult is just the particular points that offer prominence the moment when Chinese is taught as a second language. And that is why this research provides elaborate introductions and analysis about the teaching contents and teaching methods of the pronunciations, the characters, the vocabulary and the grammar of Chinese language, especially, those key points in teaching and the good methods to manage them.This paper offers its analysis of the language quality the teachers should possess in two aspects of "language expression" and "language application". In the former part, the part of language expression, some analyses have been carried out about the features and values of the teachers’language expressions in the physical aspect, meaningful aspect, and the emotional aspect. By using some research perspectives from some original English masterpieces, the latter part, the part of the language application, analyses the teaching language from the biological, the communicative, and the methodological perspectives. The paper offers its last research analysis about the functions of the teachers’language from another three different aspects of the mode of classroom communication, the creation of the classroom atmosphere, and the effective communication with the students, of which, different examples have been given to specifically support the analysis, and to effectively improve the suggestions.The working quality of the teachers teaching Chinese to foreign students includes preparation of the teaching, the classroom teaching skills, and all other different teaching techniques, among which, the preparation of the teaching refers not only the study of the textbook, the consideration about the students, but also refer to the teacher’s long-term and short-term self preparation. It is always an integrated process that starts from preparation the teaching and ends at giving a good one. The preparation is the precondition and foundation of classroom teaching, meanwhile, the teaching in the classroom is the practice, demonstration, and also the adjustment of all the things prepared, therefore, two of them have a dynamic and interrelated relationship. By using the concept of "basic quality in classroom teaching", the paper summarizes the excellent classroom quality as "blackboard handwriting","demonstrative reading", and "body-language performing"; at the same time, the "reflection","students’ responses collection", and "self correction and adjustment" are summarized as the excellent habit of doing conclusion after classroom teaching,and another key point is the specific analysis of how a perfect period of class has often been implemented.It is one of the key working quality that a teacher who teaches Chinese to foreign students should fully master all the characteristics and teaching methods of all kinds of basic language lessons, that is to say, a language teacher needs to be a versatile person and can adapt to all kinds of classroom teaching. This paper takes big efforts to make clear about the problems that exist in all teaching practice which include the errors and the wrong regions that appear in the teaching of listening and oral practice, the shortcomings of the reading materials, the reflections upon the teaching aim and mode of writing. The paper offers detailed, objective, and practical teaching suggestions to help solve and correct all these problems.As a very important part of the professional accomplishment of teaching Chinese to foreign students, the quality of inter-cultural communication demonstrates itself in one way that a teacher who is doing this is able to handle all the inter-cultural communications he/she experiences with his/her inter-communication ideology by constructing his/her inter-cultural communication knowledge, and in another way, the teacher doing this demonstrates his/her special way of dealing with inter-cultural communication problems in language teaching process, and also his/her talent in successfully getting rid of the barriers occurring in the inter-cultural communications.
