Share-holding system which is a form of capital organization in the economic field is introduced into the field of education to alleviate the resource tension and to promote the diversified form of running school. In resent year, most researches have concentrated on the share-holding system applied to the basic education, vocational education and independent college etc., and on the higher vocational education rarely.From the perspective of the educational management, this study attempts to adopt the theories of modern economics and management and the theory of the share-holding system to analyze the motivation, the feasibility, the practical type and the general situation of the implement of share-holding system in higher vocational education,sums up the achievements, the experience and problems from the higher vocational colleges who apply the share-holding system to run the vocational education and puts forward some suggestions to develop and improve running higher vocational colleges on the basis of share-holding system.The present thesis includes seven chapters:Chapter1introduces the background, purpose, contents, and methods of the research, defines the core concepts of this thesis and reviews the literature of the research about basic on the shareholding system applied to the basis education, the independent colleges and some universities, which help to find out the research gap.Chapter2details the theory of the share-holding system applied to running higher vocational college.Chapter3presents the history of the share-holding system applied to vocational education in China and investigates four higher vocational colleges who implement the share-holding system.In Chapter4some conclusions are drawn on the achievements and the experience and problems from the higher vocational colleges who apply the share-holding system to run the vocational education.Chapter5introduces some problems and challenges from the higher vocational colleges who apply the share-holding system to run the vocational education.In Chapter6some suggestions are put forward to develop and improve running higher vocational colleges on the basis of share-holding system.Chapter7presents the conclusions and the prospect of the research.This study extends the research field of the vocational education system and enriches the theory of vocational educational management in some way, and has some referencing and guiding significance for the reform and the innovation of higher vocational education in China. The following conclusions are drawn.Firstly, when the share-holding system is delivered into the field of the reform in higher vocational education, it requires the tests from the concept to the practice.Secondly, the decision of the reform and development of the share-holding system in higher vocational colleges is made mainly by the inner and outer situation which higher vocational colleges are faced.Thirdly, implementing the share-holding system, higher vocational colleges must consider two factors, one is the real social condition which the innovation and the implement of the system is faced,,the other is the logic condition between the internal elements of the system.
