Study On The Extensive Violence By Coaches To Athletes Minors

Since the foundation of country, China has achieved success in competitive sports which attracts the world's attention. However, the sports cause branded by'superpower dream'has being accompanied tons of drawbacks for its narrow utilitarian point at nationalism and championitis. Athletes'materialization, especially the disregard of health and personal of athlete minors has been a casting couch nobody attends to. Leading position on medal list does not go far to satisfy the development of economic and international standing of China. Democracy and the rule of law are the very impulse for sports movement from'superpower dream'to'China dream'. This dissertation hereby explores the pan violence of coaches in training of athlete minors and meanwhile put forward the institutional improvement which has considerable significance both in theory and practice.Following the idea of raising, analyzing and resolving question, this dissertation probes into the phenomenon, impact, root cause and regulation of coaches'pan violence with the methodology of documentation, interview, questionnaire, grounded theory and mathematical statistics. The conclusions are as follows:It is ubiquitous for coaches to use violence during the process of competitive sports training of minors in Fujian.Research by grounded theory reveals that, somatic violence, corporal punishment, language abuse, economic violence, emotional abuse and mental abuse are the main six violences by sport coaches.The large sample questionnaire shows the six kinds of violences are common in practice.There are direct and indirect negative effects brought out by coaches'pan violence. The direct impact involves the tangible detriment to health of athletes minors, intangible harm to whose mental health and interferences to athletes" playing condition. The indirect impact contains the hazard to relationships between athletes and coaches and which among athletes minors. Besides, the pan violence may lead to violence transmission and it is a deviation from Olympic ethics.With the methodology of grounded theory, questionnaire and documentation, this research held the opinion that coaches' pan violence to athletes minors is resulted from three reasons. Firstly, nationalist history and utilitarian social reality inspire the coaches' pan violence. Secondly, the agelong feudalism and Confucian culture, the deficiency of media report and academic research, and the absence of legal regulation jointly strengthen the coaches'pan violence. Thirdly, it is the quality of individual coach that works as the tendentious cause.Considering the harsh attribute of competitive sport training and the particularity of minors'physical and mental development, however, it is not to be sneezed that appropriate violence by coaches could bring positive effect to some extent. Therefore, both in the theory and practice sense, competitive sport training necessitates coaches'violence duly and measurably.In order to ensure the validity of coaches'teaching by making appropriate violence more objective and operable, this dissertation ultimately put forward the struction of disciplinary authority to solve the contradiction. The connation of disciplinary authority is explained in pedagogic scenario. Beneficial purpose, proper condition, appropriate consequence and public order and good custom compliance are the four dimensions to define disciplinary authority, whose misusers are to undertake civil, administrative and criminal liability in case analysis. Finally some suggestions upon the surveillance and remedy of disciplinary authority are proposed.
