A Research On Chinese Education During Late Qing Dynasty And The Beginning Of Republic Of China

Chinese Education during Late Qing Dynasty and the beginning of Republic of China is always worth researching. I would neither write my paper to be kind of history including everything, nor make it a specific study, but pick some typical events that could be on behalf of the characteristics of Chinese Education at that time to recount and deliver my own views, on the basis of a macroscopic realization. I will not preset the nature and the way of it either, and just try my best to get a whole, as well as deep realization. My paper includes three chapters. The first chapter is Traditional Chinese Education, I summer it as Classics Education and Imperial Education; The second chapter is Chinese Education in the Changing Situation of Late Qing Dynasty, in which I will focus on how people's thinking ways, the abolishment of Imperial and the Guimao Educational System to give their influences to Chinese Education. Of these factors, Chinese Education in Late Qing Dynasty showed a mixed outlook of ancient and modern; The last chapter is the Birth of Mandarin and the Fade Out of Classics Education, in which I will elaborate how Mandarin generated in the promotion of Mandarin Movement and Vernacular Movement. Besides, I will analysis the impact on Classics Education which is from Vernacular textbook.The three chapters are run through with time apparently, but co-ordinated by the change of Classics Education covertly. Classics Education, continued for thousands of years, had laid the foundation for Chinese Education, so we should summarized it's gains and losses carefully. It is particularly necessary for Chinese Education which is in the new round of reforms now.
