The Research On The Choice Of The University-industry Collaboration Models Of The University Researchers From The Institution Perspective

Nowadays,the university-industry collaboration has become an important channel to promote the economic development and enhance the science and technology innovation capability of the country.The university-industry collaboration appears to be particularly important in our country when the company cannot fully undertake the task of national innovation.And the latest revision of the "Law of People's Republic of China to Promote Scientific and Technological Achievements Transformation" further demonstrates Chinese government's focus on the collaboration.These collaboration activities of the university ultimately are demonstrated as the activities of the university researchers.The important aspects of interpreting the university-industry collaboration are the researchers and the causes of their participation into the university-industry collaboration.Given the heterogeneity of the university-industry collaboration system under the different national conditions,and a variety of collaboration models coexisted in the university,therefore the study on the factors influencing the model chosen for the researchers becomes the important channel to understand the university-industry collaboration activities and solve the problems,which has great significance of improving researchers' collaboration initiative and making relevant policies accordingly.In this dissertation,the university-industry collaboration activities and models are divided into six types: the patent transfer,patent licensing,academic entrepreneurship,contract research,collaborative research and academic consult.Analyze the causes based on the following three aspects:(1)the individual statistical characteristics including age,gender,academic status and the university property where researcher belong;(2)the collaboration motivations including intrinsic motivations,reputation motivations,resource motivations and economic motivations;(3)the collaboration systems including the state-owned assets management system,the researchers evaluation systems,the research tenure systems and the personnel incentive system.Based on the above,multiple Logistic regression analysis is employed to empirically analyze the factors and thus the following conclusions are made:(1)the researchers' age,academic status and university property where the researchers belong have an impact on the model chosen,except the gender;(2)there is strong relativity between the collaboration motivations and the models.(3)the collaboration institution has a significant direct effect on the collaboration models chosen of the researchers.The corresponding policy recommendations are put forward:(1)rich the university-industry content;(2)focus on the unify of the academic efficiency and academic freedom;(3)strengthen the force of the cooperation system;(4)emphasize the diversify of the scientific evaluation content.The contributions of this paper are reflected in the following:(1)Analyze the inherent psychological ideas of the university researchers,and effectively grasp the psychological regulations hidden behind the specific university-industry collaboration.(2)Build the mechanism that the system of individual behavior-oritented and the individual behavior difference.(3)Make the effect on the university-industry system in individual psychological needs.
