China is a typical multinational country.In the vast territory with an area of 9.6 million square kilometers,56 ethnic groups have existed side by side for a long time and have lived in harmony with each other holding a common belief of co-existence and common prosperity in most historical period.The development patterns of integration of diversities formed through a long-term of historical evolution,especially combining the characteristics of diversified development show full expression in politics,economy,history,culture and education.This provides a globally significant sample for searching of how to maintain cultural diversity and promote harmonious development and education spreading among different nationalities and cultures in the era of globalization.Meanwhile,cultural diversity puts forward an objective demands for our ethnic education,national security to build a harmonious socialist society as well as the harmonious development of education in ethnic regions based on inheritance of the characteristics of national cultural diversity against the background of globalization.Hence,the author tries to do a comprehensive research on the problem of trans-disciplinary ethnic education around harmonious education from the two aspects of education and culture,and clarify the features of these relations as well as their inside mechanism,on the basis of which would be sought to construct a systematic system of harmonious education theory in ethnic regions,namely,the theory of harmonious education of Chinese nation's integration of diversity which fully embodies an era characteristics of poly-culture and suits the demand of the development of the harmonious socialist society in the minority regions.This dissertation adheres to the basic concepts of “the integration of Chinese nation's diversity”,“cultural diversity” and “harmonious education”,under the guidance of Marxist theory of cultural development and the human's all-round development,absorbing the essence of Western multicultural educational theory and harmonious education theory,ancient theory of integration and combination of different things and contemporary educational theory of integration of diversity in our country so as to compare and learn multicultural and harmonious education from countries around the world.With the help of research results of such domestic disciplines as culturology,sociology,pedagogy and ethnology,this research takes Liangshan Yi nationality Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province as a main sample.Based on the sample investigation of current situation of multicultural education and the unbalanced development situation of ethnic education in ethnic regions,the author objectively analyzes the various inharmonious phenomena and causes,such as the unbalanced development of education in our national regions,and points out various problems in such aspects,such as the lack of cultural diversity in curriculum design,the tendency to mainstream culture in curriculum implementation,the deprived of education,the dropout and academic failure of ethnic minority children,the confused cultural identity bilingual teaching as well as teaching staff.The author does a certain objective analysis and discussion about these problems and proposes a series of practical strategies and suggestions on how to advance for a harmonious education in ethnic regions against the background of globalization.The author maintains that harmonious education in ethnic regions is a systematic project,which needs to be constructed from macro allocation of educational resources to medium construction of harmonious schools and to micro harmonious development of students.In terms of macro level,the balanced development of ethnic education is a significant foundation and premise of building harmonious education and further constructing a harmonious society.Thus we should make every effort regarding equal access for all to education as the basic value orientation to achieve the balanced development through such aspects as policy making,educational legislation,resources allocation,exchanges among teachers and layout optimization.In terms of medium level,from the construction of harmonious school's culture to harmonious relationships between teachers and students,from pluralistic and harmonious curriculum design based on cultural understanding to ecological classroom teaching which pays attention to cooperation sharing,and respecting differences,bilingual teaching suitable to real circumstances and building a specialized teaching teams who are in possession of cross-cultural concepts and skills,all of which play an indispensable role in building harmonious schools in ethnic regions.And viewed from micro level,the ultimate goal of education is to accomplish human beings' full,free and harmonious development.However,on the basis of realistic needs of building a harmonious society in a multinational country,the specific goal of harmonious education of integration of Chinese nation's diversity is to help every student of different nationalities form cultural values,including the concept of integration of Chinese nation's diversity,dialectically making one's choice,showing appreciation for beauty of other cultures and harmony in diversity,eliminating the emotion and attitude of prejudice and discrimination as well as core value system of socialism to acquire corresponding skills of eliminating the social behavior of cultural conflicts,while gaining multicultural knowledge,possessing the awareness of Chinese nation's cultural identity and cultivating cross-cultural adaption competence.Consequently,our nation will achieve the goal of common prosperity for all nationalities and living in harmony with each other on the basis of enjoying colorful poly-culture.Therefore,this dissertation analyzes and elaborates how to promote students' comprehensive and harmonious development in ethnic areas,systematically constructing multilevel of cultural identity from ethnic cultural identity to Chinese cultural identity as well as the basic concept and cultivating objective of integration of Chinese nation's diversity.
