As the most typical professional master degree,business administration places particular emphasis on the overall quality of adapting to occupational positions in the career life and the ability and level of using the acquired basic knowledge and skills to solve practical problems in the field of management.Case teaching breaks up the traditional teaching model in which teachers are dominant and students passively accept knowledge,while helps students enhance their comprehensive management skills of discovering problems,thinking problems,and solving problems in real and complicated business management situations.Its unique nature,operating mechanism and comprehensive advantages have drawn much attention and expectation in advancing the development of business administration education and improving its overall teaching level.Moreover,case teaching,as an effective means of cultivating talents in business administration,is one of the basic teaching methods has been internationally recognized and widely used.It can be said that how to implement case teaching directly affects the overall quality of business administration education.However,the case teaching has been faced with many difficulties and doubts in the domestic implementation,because of problems in the soil environment and system guarantee,as well as the problems of teachers' concept and the quality of students.Of course,the key lies in that China lacks in-depth research and practice of this “New Normal” method,and case teaching practices is not mature nor ideal.Thus,the unique advantages and long-lasting vitality of case teaching has not shown in business administration education.This study focuses on literature analysis,comparative research,and current situation surveys to sort out the implementation dilemmas in domestic case teaching,and to focus and summarize the issues,and to analyze the crux of the case management in domestic business management cases.And through long-term work observation,practice,combined with case studies and interviews with representatives of teaching experts on the first line,the directions and measures for the development of case teaching were comprehensively drawn.The constructivist teaching theory holds that teachers are leaders,organizers,and promoters in the teaching process.They use learning environment elements such as real situations,collaboration,and conversation to give full play to the student's subjective status and spirit of innovation so that students can actively and effectively achieve the construction of the meaning of the learned knowledge.Case teaching conforms to the spirit of constructivist learning theory.However,many branches and teaching models of constructivism theory are difficult to directly apply to MBA case teaching.This thesis is based on the author's years of practical experience and observations,through constructivist learning theory and other relevant theories including migration concepts to explore the overall design and implementation of case teaching in the context of assessing the background of learners' experience in case teaching,the creation of teaching situations,the process and mechanism of knowledge construction,the active awareness of learners,and the ability of self-regulation and objective evaluation of the results of migration.In the course of building the general teaching process of constructivism,it constructs an integrated case teaching model that starts from case development,to case classroom teaching,then to case action and case evaluation,and analyzes each link of case teaching in the construction process.The internal mechanism that stimulates the endogenous cycle is formed,and a complete case teaching mode of internal integration of single links,mutual influence of each link,and integration and interaction of large systems is formed.Finally,this study chooses the typical case of business management education case study of H University as the application of effect,considers the successful experience and train of thought of integrated case teaching mode,and puts forward the way of improvement.In that light,this thesis is to explore MBA case teaching models under China's context,to enrich case teaching theories,and to provide a valuable reference for the reform of teaching modes of business management education and other sectors in the management discipline in China.The research follows the research ideas of “demand exploration-theoretical conception-empirical test-effectiveness verification-summary improvement”,and comprehensively uses the theoretical research method,interview research method,investigation research method and case study method to conduct a systematic and scientific research to case teaching model and its necessity,rationality and effectiveness.The first chapter states the reason of the topic,the significance of theories and practices as well as the research methods and innovations in this thesis;The second chapter defines the core concepts of the origin and development of case teaching,management cases and case teaching methods,the functional significance of case teaching methods,and the applicability of management disciplines,especially in MBA education.Through literature review and work practices,this chapter summarizes current dilemmas and research trends of domestic case teaching and case teaching models;The third chapter is the theoretical basis of constructivism.It analyzes the core elements and connotation of constructivist learning transfer theory from the perspective of constructivist learning theory,and analyzes several classic teaching models based on constructivist theory,and forms an integrated theoretical basis for case teaching model.The fourth chapter proposes an integrated MBA case teaching model on the basis of author's theory research,and analyses the source cases at case development phase.By studying national one hundred excellent MBA teaching cases from Dalian University of Science and Technology's case database,it concludes the status quo and problems of domestic local cases.Meanwhile,through expert interviews,this thesis have a comprehensive summary of problems existing in the development of business management case teaching and finally propounds further suggestions for the application of case teaching in business management teaching.The fifth chapter is the conclusion drawn through the interviews.The four dimensions of the questionnaire are formed.The hypothesis is tested by empirical research on the questionnaire of MBA students in all grades to further confirm the scientificity and deficiency of the model.The sixth chapter verifies is the practical application value of the case teaching mode proposed in this thesis by typically studying the practical application of case teaching mode H University and making analysis of H University's teaching practice.Suggestions for improvement through the diagnosis is also proposed in this chapter.The seventh chapter puts forward author's thoughts and suggestions,which is based on the above theoretical and empirical research as well as case observation.
