Study On Chongqing Urban Housing During The Anti-Japanese War

The Anti-Japanese War was a great turning point for the Chinese nation from decline to revitalization.The victory of the War laid the foundation for national independence and national liberation.The Anti-Japanese War not only changed China's political process,but also made profound changes in all aspects of Chinese society.After the July 7th Incident,the decision-making and implementation of the National Government moved to Chongqing to work.Many organs,schools,factories and mines arrived in Chongqing together.Chongqing is more densely populated than almost any other city in wartime China.Residential problems have become one of the serious urban problems faced by Chongqing.This paper studies residential buildings,reviews the housing difficulties in Chongqing during the Anti-Japanese War,and also reflects on the social problems related to housing.This paper mainly solves four problems: first,to record the serious situation of housing shortage in Chongqing during the War of Resistance Against Japan;second,to explore the causes of housing dilemma in Chongqing;third,how to cope with housing difficulties with Chongqing people;fourth,to sort out the wartime national government,Chongqing local government and people In order to solve the problem of housing shortage.The main body is divided into eight chapters.Chapter one expounds the political,economic and social development of Chongqing before the war.Before the war,social development in Chongqing was extremely uneven and social problems were prominent.In terms of housing,the living environment is not good;urban rent is not expensive,and urban housing is not crowded.After Japan launched an all-round war of aggression against China,the National Government moved to Chongqing.Chongqing's urban system is evolving continuously.With the rapid increase of population,Chongqing's housing is diversified.Chapter two expounds many aspects of Chongqing's urban housing dilemma during the war.Not only are the tenants facing the difficulties oflacking housing,but also the tenants facing the problems of limited rent rise.The lack of housing has brought many difficulties to the people of Chongqing,and even affected their health and survival.Chapter three analyses a series of social problems caused by Chongqing's housing predicament in wartime.The disputes caused by housing problems in Chongqing during the war are the main types of disputes in wartime society.Chapter IV examines the causes of the wartime housing shortage in Chongqing.Among many factors,the war of aggression launched by the Japanese army was the root cause of the housing problem.The fifth chapter elaborates the housing shortage control from the legislative point of view.Law is an effective tool for the establishment of state institutions and the implementation of social management powers.In order to solve the problem of housing shortage in Chongqing during the war,the National Government made intensive legislation and constructed a temporary stable social order in Chongqing during the war.It basically completed the task of housing relief in wartime from the perspective of law and policy.The laws played a positive role during the war,but there were many disadvantages.Chapter 6 elaborates that Chongqing Municipal Government actively responded to the housing shortage,implemented the regulation and adjustment policy of Chongqing urban housing in wartime,and took some specific measures from the aspects of housing construction,housing rental and sale,household management,etc.,and achieved certain results.The seventh chapter elaborates the people's response to the dilemma of housing shortage in Chongqing during the war.Facing the dilemma of Chongqing's urban housing during the war,Chongqing people actively participated in solving the housing dilemma and solved the housing problem by themselves through various ways.They survived the most difficult period of Chongqing's housing during the war and contributed to the final victory of the Anti-Japanese War.
