The 21st century has brought up growing urbanization rates and urban areas to increase the number of landless farmers. Therefore, the issue of farmers has become the focus of attention since it directly relates to our social harmony, stability, and seamlessly immense economic development. In the Western National Area, where the economic base is extremely weak and the ecological environment is remarkably fragile, and farmers are generally poorer, with less risk-resisting ability, and vulnerable to a variety of ethnic, religious and other factors, the phenomenon of landless farmers resulted from frequent social and political issues. Thus,in the context of urbanization,a crucial question arises as how to realize the smooth recognition and integration of minority citizens' landless farmers, which is the core concern of this paper focusing on the essence of the problem and its viable solutions. In the west, landless minority farmers have their own culture, customs, religion and other differences associated with special groups. They live mainly in the border area such as the mountains, the desert oasis and similar geographical environments, with living occlusion, limited production, and low literacy levels, together with low levels of anti-risk and further cultural features.Forced land loss to move into the city led to changes in landless minority farmers' traditional way of living, production, lifestyles, values, occupational status, etc.Landless minority farmers also face resettlement.re-employment,social security, land rights, children's education, survival and adaptation into urban life, and a series of social problems.Since there are already many complex issues of ethnic and religious minorities in western regions, the problem of landless minority farmers will add to the issues social(in)stability, along with social and economic development in the western region of the nation. Most importantly, the issue of landless farmers in western minority areas is not only related to simple economic problems, but also to social problems including the overall social stability of minority areas, sustainable economic development, the maintenance of ethnic harmony,as well as the prevention and resolution of the overall national problems. In this study,a macro background perspective on social stability and harmony in western ethnic minority areas is constructed based on the current status of landless farmers in this particular region.Through in-depth empirical analysis that is focused on western minority areas and, more specifically,on research subjects from the typical minority village Shamalebage in Kashgar,Xinjiang, the data were collected from a sample of 393 landless minority farmers using questionnaire, and interview survey discussing landless minority farmers' internal mechanisms to investigate their adaptation to different areas in the city. The study presents a comprehensive analysis of the issues of this special case of landless minority farmers and summarizes the resolutions for landless minority farmers. Moreover, this research closely examines the development of the aforementioned status, the practical problems that landless minority farmers face and explores the phenomenon of landless minority farmers, the factors leading to it,as well as prevention measures and solving suggestions.
