With economy stepping into the era of New Normal,China is now facing the challenge of transformation of economy structure and preparing to foster new driving forces for economic growth.Improving the quality of human capital and accelerating the transformation of industrial structure have become important powers to promote economic development in the new phase.Rapid adjustment of higher education,transformation of industrial structure,policy difference,regional resource conditions have coupling caused a series of social problems such as talent shortage coexisting with graduates' difficulty in employment,resource scarcity coexisting with regional imbalance.These issues are gradually making harmonious development become unavoidable problem demanding prompt solution.Whether higher education can adapt to the industrial structure adjustment,will play a crucial role to achieve the economic growth and solve the problem of university students' employment,at the same time it is also the important support for promoting the development of the higher education connotation.Based on inter-disciplinary perspectives,theoretical research and empirical analysis paradigm,this study has analyzed coordinated development of higher education and industrial structure in China from mechanism,measure,internal effect,external effect and appropriate path.The main work of this research and conclusions are as follows:Firstly,the coordinated development is a kind of state and a process.Market regulating mechanism and the government regulation behavior are respectively the important internal and external powers promoting coordinated development,which determine the path and mode of coordinated development.The effects of coordinated development include scale effect,structure effect and spillover effect.All kinds of effects can positively promote the coordinated development in different stages of social.Secondly,the timing differences and regional differences of coordinated development are significant.From the point of static characteristics,coordination degree is not high,which belongs to moderate harmonious state valuing range from 0.43 to 0.49.Using kernel density estimation curve,dynamic characteristic has been analyzed.The results show that the coordination degree of overall level is on the decline.Spatial visualization processing results show that regional difference is remarkable and the coordination degree is high in east region and low in west region,as well as high in coastal region and low in inland region.Thayer index analysis shows that regional difference is mainly caused by internal regional differences.The biggest difference is in the western region.Convergence test of coordination degree shows that there's a tendency to cluster distribution.Thirdly,there are scale effect and structure effect between the higher education and industrial structure,but on the whole,internal effect remains to be strengthened.The study has shown that human capital significantly promotes the growth of the economic scale,and human capital is of reciprocal granger causation with the growth of the economic scale.The total industry demand for college graduates is on the rise.According to industry demand for talent,higher education disciplines are divided into three categories.Based on the theory of cointegration the study has shown that there exists cointegration effect between discipline structure of higher education and industrial structure,but the degree of coordinated development needs to be improved.Hierarchical structure of higher education is largely in line with the requirements of the industrial structure adjustment.Fourthly,there exists a time lag between higher education structure and industrial structure,which affects the coordinated development.Moore value and the grey correlation analysis show that geometric similarity of two sequence curves of higher education structure in 1997-2013 and industry structure in 1988-2004 is the largest.That means the time lag between higher education structure and industrial structure is 9 years,which has restricted the coordinated development level of higher education structure and industry structure.Fifthly,the empirical analysis shows that there exists the spatial spillover effect of inter-provincial coordinated development of higher education and industrial structure.In this paper,spatial feature of the coordination degree is studied based on ESDA method and the results indicate that there exists global spatial autocorrelation.And the spatial spillover effects are investigated by introducing the human capital and economic type's spatial weight matrixes into the spatial panel models and the results show that there exists the spatial spillover effect.The production function is investigated by introducing coordination degree as a classic of impact factor of technical progress into the spatial durbin of coordination degree model.Through above empirical test,it is confirmed that the spillover effect is objective existence in reality.
