Classroom teaching is the basic form of undergraduate education,and the quality of classroom teaching determines the quality of university's talent cultivation.China has become a country worthy of the name of higher education,which possess more than 1000 universities with undergraduate education qualifications.To consolidate the foundation of undergraduate teaching,deepen the reform of undergraduate classroom teaching and improve the quality of undergraduate classroom teaching are of great strategic significance to accelerate the development of a strong higher education country and world-class universities.Keeping the mission in mind,sticking to undergraduate teaching as the center,and improving the quality of talent cultivation as the foundation,are the cornerstones for the survival and development of all universities.In the context of our higher education's transformation from focusing on scale development to realizing connotation transformation,there is still a certain distance between the teaching quality of undergraduate courses and the national expectations,people's aspirations and students' development demands.To build the great power of higher education and promote the development of world-class undergraduate education,we must strive for the quality of the classroom,carry out the revolution of classroom teaching,return to the original intention of university talent cultivation,return to the obligation of teachers' teaching and educating,and reverse the unfavorable situation of “emphasizing scientific research and neglecting teaching”.The research and implementation of undergraduate classroom teaching quality standards is a breakthrough for deepening undergraduate teaching reform,which is of great practical significance to the prosperity and development of universities,the cultivation of innovative talents,the professional development of teachers and the improvement of undergraduate teaching quality.Based on literature research of existing standards,evaluation of undergraduate teaching quality and standards of undergraduate course classroom teaching quality,combining the current situation of teaching evaluation of university teachers in our country,this study selected the typical case university as the research object to carry on the qualitative research,so as to examine the the process which undergraduate course classroom teaching quality standard been prepared,generated and practiced in the real environment of university development,and to explore the rationality of its existence and value contained.The research shows that the development and implementation of the classroom teaching quality standards for undergraduate courses is based on the university development reality,initiated and carried out by the general meeting of the President of the university through collective decision-making,which is the natural action of the university to gather,focus on,and fulfill the mission,and is the essential stipulation of the university development.The development of the undergraduate classroom teaching quality standard has gone through three main stages of “standard input”,“standard running-in” and “standard output”.Through four ways of cooperation,deliberation,gambling and negotiation to achieve the unified understanding of different stakeholders among researchers,users and decision-makers.The final result is a consensus action plan.Different participants and environments would have an impact on the development of undergraduate classroom teaching quality standards,in which the development team is the primary influencing factor,exerting an important influence on the “plasticity” and “molding” of standards.In the quality standard of undergraduate classroom teaching,“dimension” is its vertical logic and “field” is its horizontal logic,which reflects the overall attention to the core elements of undergraduate classroom teaching activities.The principle of selection is the combination of qualitative and quantitative.The classroom teaching quality standards of case university undergraduate course is not only to guide and regulate teacher's teaching attitude,teaching process and teaching effect,also bring teaching understanding and teaching characteristic into standard content creatively that manifests the the value orientation of servicing classroom teaching improvement,promoting student integrated development and leading teachers' professional development,which has a certain authority and systemic.From the perspective of practice,the implementation of undergraduate classroom teaching quality standards needs favourable organizational guarantee and programmatic management,so that it can become the basis and reference for standardizing teacher's teaching behavior,guiding the professional development of teaching and carrying out teacher's teaching evaluation.The quality standard of undergraduate classroom teaching is the self-selection of university and the result of the interaction of internal and external factors,which essence is the organic integration of value rationality and tool rationality.The undergraduate teaching reform should resort to the standard force to guide teachers to devote themselves to teaching,be happy to teaching and be good at teaching,give play to standard functions such as guidance,standardization,improvement and evaluation,and optimize the elements of undergraduate classroom teaching from multiple dimensions.Focusing on the overall development of undergraduate education and the practical basis of universities in China,this research suggests to develop the national undergraduate teaching quality standard that points to “classroom life” and to provide upper guidance for the teaching quality standard of undergraduate courses;to develop the teaching quality standards for undergraduate courses that meet the differentiation of the universities characteristics;to establish the mechanism of multiple participation in the development of standards for undergraduate classroom teaching;to form the “dynamic loop” of continuous improvement of teaching quality standards for undergraduate courses;and to strengthen the institutional guarantee of developing and implementing standards for undergraduate classroom teaching quality.In future college practice,undergraduate classroom teaching quality standards should shift from “compliance” to “quality improvement” and “quality promotion” in content,and highlight the guidance and development of standards rather than regulation,putting teachers' teaching activities at the center of standards.Our country should encourage and promote universities to carry out standards-based classroom teaching evaluation actively and play a synergistic role with the external evaluation of the state,so that universities become the motility to evaluate,develop and improve undergraduate teaching quality.
